Brands Hatch Camp Site (Grey Car Park)

Can anybody please advise how I get to the Marshals Camp site (Grey Car Park) at Brands Hatch this coming weekend, i.e. Is it through the Paddock or Main entrance. I know where the Grey Car Park is just not sure how to get to it.

Thanks

Main entrance, turn left immediately before the booths, behind hotel and follow road round until cross roads just be fore Kantagon. Gray carpark is on your right.

I usually go through the booths to get to that one. I didn't think you could always get in that way (but don't take my word for it). Anyway, map courtesy of Mr B. Snatcher here: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms?cli...79b7988728443a

EDIT - I believe Bryan is talking about "K Gate" on the map. I'm not personally convinced that that one is usually open to cars, but I'd bow to superior knowledge on that one

Go via the main entrance, through the booths, go straight on past the hospitality suites and turn left just before the toilet block/go kart track, you will probably see assorted tents, caravans and motorhomes on your right hand side as you go up there

I believe the camp site that Bryan mentioned is the marshalls campsite which is normally only used at big meetings BTCC etc.

Will be there myself at some point on Friday so see you there

Nope Mr Degs is correct as well. That's the back gate to Grey car park. Which gate is open depends on the time of day.

Overnight, go to the booths and you are likely to be pointed through through the booths, go past the shops and turn left through the wooden gateway then left again into Grey (the front section separate section of the grassed carpark is NOT grey car park it's hospitality parking.

The inner gate gets locked around 7am and then K gate (the one that Bryan directed to) is opened so if arriving during the day, you would follow Bryan's instructions.

Best bet, go to the booth and ask.

There seem to be some contradictary replies here!

I've been regularly using the Grey Car Park/ Campsite for the past three years and have never known the wooden gate to be locked at any time. Similarly, I've never known the K gate to be opened to allow access to the campsite. This gate IS used to give marshals pedestrian access from the "Officials Campsite" when it is used for big meetings. If you're camping, and not setting up until after racing on the Saturday, it is best to enter the circuit via the paddock entrance and park in the upper paddock as I believe they frown upon marshals using the main gate.

Certainly all the Brands meetings I've done this year the wooden gate is locked during the "meeting time" and reverts to being open "out of hours". This saves on security staff for the circuit. Piglet is right.
