Yes, a great evening. I know we'll say more in due course, but big thanks indeed to Teresa, Fabian and of course Florian from Audi for doing this for us.

Yes, our meeting with Fabian (as charming and accommodating as we have now become accustomed to when meeting anyone who represents Audi) at the Audi Racing Hotel was a treat in itself, with him taking the time to give us a guided tour of the extraordinary 1000 bed temporary hotel Audi have had built for their guests. The scale of their Le Mans operation is just mind blowing!
Thank you Fabian!

that sounds like a really special experience!
i think it's fantastic that audi let enthusiasts like tenths in on their le mans week. we might not have the cash or contacts that the usual guests have, but it's really good to know that competitors want to share their world with us in any way they can. and it's always appreciated, no matter how small or large a gesture. totally jealous of those of you who were able to go, and particularly envious of the view over the pits (and the opportunity to chat with a le mans legend)! awesome
thank you

Just to add my thanks to Audi, Teresa, Florian, Fabian and, of course, to James for all the work to make this happen. To Emanuele Pirro for spending so long with us on what must be a busy time, we really appreciated hearing your stories and spending time with a Le Mans legend. You have backed up my long-held feeling that you are a driver with not only a passion for racing but one who also cares about the fans, hope you have fun driving the GT40 in the Le Mans Classic.
What a brilliant evening, another one-off experience thank you Audi.

The Audi Fan Area is a big stand on your left with TV screens at the back and an R18 E-Tron Quattro on display in the middle. Meeting point is in front of the stand.
See you all this evening!

It's great to see you all seem to have enjoyed the tour.
Without wanting to shout too loud (its only a small lounge, after all) there WILL be tours after the race is under way on Saturday and Sunday as well, depending on availability.
Please feel free to come by the Audi Fan area (location expertly described above ) when you are around and ask at the reception whether a slot for a visit at the Fan Lounge is available.
Can I ask for this information to NOT be broadly communicated (as we know, The friends from Radiolemans and others read these posts, too) and we would hate having long lines of disappointed fans at the counters. Tell your friends in person and please accept if it should not be possible.
Again, apologies in advance if there is no opportunity and you should not be offered a chance - we will do our best and give as many as possible a chance.

'Passion' is the right word there Tony - the one thing that came over very powerfully is that Emanuele just loves being at Le Mans! Mind you, he'd love it a lot more if he was behind the wheel of an R18......

Thank you Florian (yet again), we were wondering/hoping if that might be the case. Fantastic news!
As an aside, we inspected your office at temporary HQ yesterday, centred and straightened the name sign on your door, and can confirm that it's ready for your arrival this evening!
Safe journey, and thank you so very much for everything you and your colleagues have done for us this year.

I've received some terrific feedback from the Thursday group. Pirro and Werner were present in the lounge on Thursday, what a fantastic treat for those lucky enough to be present. I understand Frank was also nearby, but missed the entrance to the hospitality area.....we can only speculate as to the reason why( ).
Thanks again to Audi, especially Teresa and Fabian who have given up so much of their valuable time for us. It was an imaginative initiative for which we, at 10Tenths, are extremely grateful.
Thank you!

Hopefully when everyone is back home and has the internet available we'll get some more feedback from the members who were lucky enough to take part in what was an incredible treat. Not only was it awesome in itself, our hosts, and Teresa in particular were wonderful. Bearing in mind her schedule, Teresa seemed to be constantly smiling!
One of the things I will remember for a long time was on entering the fan lounge, the brother of one of our French members just looked out of the window, turned around, looked at me and just said 'Wow!' That said it all for me.....

Loved the time spent in the fan area (although it would have been topped off with beer and timing screens *nudge* ). The chance to view the pit work incredibly close up was amazing and Emanuele gave us a huge amount of his time. Cannot thank Audi and the guys who made it possible enough and James again for organising it. What a week of visits.
