Whilst you're reminiscing, Graham, remember you were the one who took me to my first Eurocircuit event and introduced me to the excellent Hotel Eindhoven over 30 years ago.

A lot happened that weekend: a great night at the Cafe de Pomp at Son (your sponsor); you walking back from the swiming pool with a towel wrapped around you only to be told by a maid that you weren't allowed to wear swiming things in the hotel corridor so you unwrapped the towel and showed her you weren't wearing your swimming things (!) and the young lady that suddenly appeared stark naked at one of the bedroom windows and calmly drew the curtains whilst we were having breakfast, to name but a few of the things I remember from that trip. I've been back many times to the Eindhoven, but never seen the young lady again!!

I've unearthed some pics I took of you in those days. When I've put my PC back together and got the scanner working I'll post some on here.

Bill

Hotel Eindhoven !! Blimey I used to stay there when I raced at Valkensvaard with some of the Minicross guys, well the ones that didn't stay at the track.

A few years back me and Ron Watson was still enjoying a single malt whisky in the bar at 2am.
We were racing the next day. I know they don't mix.

Nothing compared to when we all went kayaking, we spent most of the time in water not in the kayaks. Problem was the local cattle used the river (I'll leave it there) I turned up to race with a mild form of conjuctivitis. I could only see out of one eye.

We always used to be there when the fair was in town. We used to take out our differences on the dodgems. Good old days.

Can confirm most of it, but the name was Motel Eindhoven (Van der Valk chain). It was the place to stay for many a year, value for pretty cheap money.

Quite right, it became Hotel after the tower block was added a few years ago. Still great value for money.

Speaking of the swimming pool, there eventually appeared a pool table near the glass door leading to the bar. One time a lady in a red bikini that can best be described as three extremely small triangles of material held held by pieces of string decided to have a game. Imagine the view from the bar (and the look on all our faces) as every time she bent over the table the bottom half of the bikini instantly turned into a thong. Haven't ever seen her since either!

I always remember my Dad's old Rover V8 but most cars were raced in Road Saloons in the UK.

My car,
One of the odd ball SWB cars, was a Stage Rally Car, but thought it would be fun in RallyCross,
Will be out again shortly but now with a Twin Turbo 4.5 Ltr Rovercraft Engine and Proper Brakes, I have a decent driver lined up as i am far too rusty to get the most out of it,,
