i think the details are for richie and his management to talk about in public first, not anyone else. when he's got his head round it, he'll elaborate (edit: i see he has done - what a crappy way to end a season )
meanwhile, i think anyone who takes that car whilst stanaway is unable to drive would be well advised to ask a priest to perform an exorcism. and to wear their lucky pants.

I would hope Hartley, at least Van der Drift has a ride already.

Hartley got a podium at Spa.
I know he would be a rookie to the class, but what about Daniel Morad?

I don't think you can call that a full time ride though Bella, a last minute run out at Spa and a Le Mans ride, i am sure he is enjoying what sports car racing he gets, i am also pretty sure he would jump at the chance to get back into single seaters. Mind you, it is very much last chance saloon if he does get it.

He's had some back luck, but he's not getting the results. And he's already struggled to raise the money for the Auto GP ride, I doubt Lotus is that heavily invested in the team that they will simply hire him.

i cba to find the silly season thread and we were discussing it here anyway.
italiaracing is reporting that cesar ramos will be replacing stanaway at lotus. seems a bit random, but he was quick sometimes last year.

A good pick. Experience in the series (albeit not the car) and showed some speed, but had to go home because of money. Was half expecting Lotus to plug in some 16-17 year old who had no right to be in the car.

i thought jan charouz might be parachuted in to save the day but that was a worst case scenario . good to see ramos has the cash to get in a decent car again.

I'm wondering how much, if any, he actually put up for the ride?

depends where the ownership lies for the team i suppose and who has to pay the bills. if it's a write-off for richie's year and there's no-one in the same scheme (or even management company) to pay for the drive then they (the team) need to recoup the money somehow. otherwise gravity/irace are paying for someone else to take the drive plus the cost to fix a broken driver as quickly as medically possible - which isn't cheap, as we saw with van der drift. doesn't really seem sensible if there's a bit of demand for a ride.
though i'm saying that on the basis that prior to the grid being full there weren't any problems with finding drivers with the money. if ramos was short on a full season then it's ideal for him really.

Ramos is waay better than Charouz connections or not.
He could do a good job I think and will be very keen to make the most of the drive.

With César Ramos there will be four Brazilians on the FR 3.5 grid. A great instance for Brazilians...
