Bezzers1986 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I'm going to be there Sat and Sun, looking forward to it.

Just to be a bit cheeky, does anyone have a spare ticket for this, ideally for the Saturday?

Is there going to be a separate area on Woodlands Camp site for marshals or are we being lumped in with the general public (and the accompanying late night noise?)

How will we get to sign on and out to post with all our gear if we are not allowed to park behind the diner?

Why has'nt the booking arrangements been made available to ALL marshals instead of just the Silverstone ones!!!!!

Stack,
Separate marshals area at woodlands. You will get a car pass in the post which allows ypu to park behind copse for sign on, and you can also park at or near your post.

Relevant bits from the email I received are:

"New for 2012 is the inclusion of a free of charge dedicated camping area within the modern Woodlands campsite that is segregated from the public areas."

"Each marshal is entitled to 2 camping passes, should you require additional passes please contact your Chief Marshal. When your camping passes are issued full directions will be enclosed."

"You will receive a pass for the Perimeter Road (Pink Zone 36) this entitles you park at the rear of Copse and walk through to the Paddock bar for signing on. This pass also entitles you to park (sensibly please) on the Perimeter Road adjacent to your post"

So far as I can see it IS all marshals. Kindly don't jump to conclusions from little evidence. The email Silverstone members have received has been forwarded from the lady covering while Penny's on maternity leave. The message has very obviously been cut and pasted in from elsewhere and contains references to contacting "your Chief Marshal."

Thanks for your concise reply Paul. It has certainly put my mind at ease to some of the more unpleasant thoughts I had gleamed from hearing that the camping had been moved.

One final question. Will sufficient hookups be provided?

No they will be on a first come first served basis. Tickets and instructions have not yet been sent out by HSCC but they will arrive in time for people to book camping slots.

Well, this old fogey has managed to find a cheeky little hotel room not too far from t'circuit.
I do need my beauty sleep so that I can be bright & ready to wave flags vigourously at all those lovely cars - can't wait!
Any sign of entry lists yet?

Looking forward to this meeting again. Now got the friday off work so could marshal if I get there, will sign on as extra if I do. But using Saturday to wander round at leisure and see some of the on track action, then back on Sunday to marshal.

We have booked our space (I hope) but looking at the coverage from this weekend's GP, I hope there is a LOT of sun between then and now. Remember to pack the wellies......!

Can someone ask the celebrities to play a bit more carefully this year? Would be nice to be able to actually have a break before the evening races.

They have been a bit busy with a Club Meeting this weekend at Silverstone, so I guess they might be sent towards the end of this week.

Haha!

I'm doing this one on the Sat/Sun, can't wait. Torn between camping, sleeping in the car or finding a cheap B&B close by. Any recommendations?
