Belgium ERC

Hi all,

I know it's a bit far off, but looking forward to the ERC in Belgium.

Just had a look at their site and it would appear that it's 40Euros for the weekend? That's a bit steep, even with Greece making Europe more affordable recently

And it's another 6 euros if you want to park your car.
These are the same prices as last year and yes they are very high in my opinion.

Ive not been to Belgium for a few years, the main reason being the restricted viewing caused by those bloody gazebos! I believe they were banned last year, can anyone confirm that this will be the case this year?

Looking forward to going to Maasmechelen for the first time this year, went to Valkenswaard likewise last year. Good to see Holte back out in the C30. Anyone got any tips once there, is there a location where you can see the whole track?

One can see the whole (or sometimes 90%) track from many different locations.

Once in Maasmechelen with some spare time (and enough money in pocket!) it would be worthwhile to visit "Maasmechelen Village", a fine Outlet Centre.

Last year the tents were forbidden! Was a very good idea! Hope they do the same this year. Also in holland it was forbidden last year!

We still had a large and annoying gazebo in front of us on the entry to the last corner last year. I don't think the ban was enforced.

I'll second that - and it was full of complete numpties too. If I remember correctly, there was even a bit of aggro caused by them. Hopefully it will be more rigourously enforced this year, as I'm really looking forward to the event!

I would imagine without Mertens being there a lot of the aggro will be gone, his lot were very rowdy at Lydden last year, and annoyed a few people.

Is there camping on site like the field next to the circuit at Valkenswaard or do we need to book a campsite elsewhere?

There are some hotels available near Maastricht as well, I think my dad booked us the Golden Tulip Hotel for 110 euro for 2 persons (1 room) including dinner and breakfast... Check weekendjeweg.nl

Oh and I really hope the gazebo's are gone this year! Last year we only went to Holland (which was gazebo free that year!) for that reason...

Oh and I hope the entry list is nice! As Sweden (USA clash) and France seemed a bit off pace compared to normal...
