Tomorrow, IndyCar 36 will feature... Ed Carpenter!!!
I really didn't expect him. He's 19th in the standings and his best season result was 12th in 2009. I understand that they pick Hildebrand and Kimball, but not him.

Indycar COO Marc Koretzky, who first joined Indycar in May 2011 and replaced Terry Angstadt in December 2011, has resigned.
Current Indycar staff will share the job until the end of the season.

Sounds like Tony Cotman is gone as well.
Probably they are clearing the decks for the triumphant return of tony george and brain barnyard for revised Vision version 327.2.

I'd like to know what would happen if THAT was about to happen. I'd like to believe that the team owners would finally grow something between their legs and walk out. But the reality seems to be that the owner will stick their heads into the sand, as always.

That's the first whispers I've heard of Cotman being gone.
Good source on that?
I know you have some contacts.
As an aside, other boards have people saying that the COO was fired and did not resign.

If this dude got fired, the pink slip came from the guy who hand picked him, then promoted him. Another Chinese fire drill.

Has he? There's nothing in Autosport about it or indeed the IndyCar website.

This was probably a picture taken of him right after he resigned.

Guys, what do you enjoy more? The watching the racing or bashing the organisers on an internet forum?

Tough choice, both are very easy to do and hard not to enjoy in 2012. Although ignoring or laughing at posts which defend the series and its management no matter what probably top both.

Is it defending or being realistic of the environment in which open wheel exists and hoping for the best with what we currently have.

Say what's in your heart and on your mind and tell the truth. If you catch an unfair post, debate it, the argument will either stand or fall on its own merits.
However whining about whether people are whining just feeds more whining. There's no point in that.
