GP2 rounds 15 and 16 Hockenheim
Soon will be run the Hockenheim rounds of GP2...
Two driver announcements: - Sergio Canamasas replaces Fabrizio Crestani at Lazarus for the remainder of the season; - Tom Dillmann makes an one-off return to Rapax, due to the Auto GP commitments of Daniel De Jong this weekend. |

Alas, some news regarding Coloni leaving the series at the end of this year.
They seem to move to... IndyCars. Probably with Luca Filippi racing for them. |

Hard to say how Canamasas will go at Lazarus. He was quite good in a strong FR 3.5 field last year, yet he hadn't really done anything before that.

canamasas was really quick sometimes for no apparent reason last year. it was a surprise to just about everyone including both him and the team when he got pole in hungary. on that basis... good luck to him.

Melker seems really at ease in the wet condition, I am sure he is hoping that rain keep going during the weekend. If it does I can see him taking his first win.

i'd love to, but i haven't seen the races as usual because i don't have sky pity they don't have enough posession of their own tv rights to put out a highlights video on the same day like wsr do.
i hope calado gets another shot at it next year instead of being abandoned by rsf in a similar way to turvey a few years ago. he's usually in a good place in the field before some sort of drama befalls him (from what i read, anyway). |

I have seen part of the second race. Good to see that Palmer and Coletti got a penalty, there were clearly yellow flags for a crash (Serenelli). With other cars clearly slowing, that could have been very dangerus.
Btw, that was a nasty shunt of Serenelli. Looked like a break failure? But apart from being a little dizzy, he seemed fine when he got out of the car. Calado is very impressive this year. If Valsecchi and Razia continue to lose points, I wonder if he can catch up (together with Giedo) and challange for the title. |
