Please contact me 916-765-2934....the 802 you refer to in Washington is now in Sacramento. I have many questions you may be able to answer.

I had a look at your stuff on Flickr PaddockMan earlier this morning, some of the best shots I've seen of the late 80s F3000 era... amazing stuff. Can't wait to see more of them.

March 802 - latest list of their whereabouts

OK so I am on the last page and am wondering if the list of cars has been updated to show where each chassis is to the best of our research. If that could get posted it would be great.

Thanks,

Lee

We don't do that any more as it was regularly ripped off.

Tell us what you have and what you want to know and I'm sure someone will be happy to help.

802-6

Just to fill in some history of 802-6. I bought it in late 1989 from Richard Fuller in order to use the M12 engine in my so-called 782. The car came with a Mazda rotary installed, ex South Africa, and the BMW engine was in the process of being rebuilt. So I don't think the story of its tub being used for a rebuild in South Africa is right. It had an 812 nosecone and cockpit and very dodgy sidepods giving no downforce at all.
The BMW went into the 782 for the 1990 hillclimb season and enabled me to win that year's 2 litre Midlands Championship.
But I didn't want to put the BDG into the 802 so the BMW was reinstalled.I did a few hillclimbs with it in this state, but it was much slower and heavier than the 782. I tried to find pukka 802 bodywork without success and decided to sell the car as it was hopeless on the hills.
Eventually I swapped it for a TVR Griffith from Clive Greenhalgh in Birmingham, which was easier to turn into cash.

BMW power

While I am familiar with the BDA, I would like info on the BMW engines used in the 802's. Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Help needed to reassemble an 802

Hi all,

Well I have finally unearthed 802-19 and am going to need help to get it put back together. I am hoping those of you out there with complete cars can give me some photos of various areas of the car.

It is currently in CSR configuration and I want to bring it back to an F2 config. I have almost all of the bodywork but need detail info on tunnel mounting radiator fitment, oil tank location, etc. It has a BDA currently fitted.

Any photos or help can be sent directly to me at 65356sc@msn.com
and would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Lee
