I had missed that article up until now - man it would suck to be a Japanese executive, they take any failure as their own fault, seems like he is being very hard on himself. I am very happy Dome will still continue on, they are too good at what they do to just give up. It is so hard to see companies like Dome and Lola in such hard times - its sad to me to sit on the sidelines and see companies with such history almost give up like this...

He criticized their decisions, and wasn't happy about the non-japaneseness of motorsports projects from Japanese makers. He's kind of a centralist if you look at it. Nothing wrong with that as a personal belief, but it obviously isn't good for (their) business.

Some positive news in Autosport the other day about Dome who are said to be planning a return to Le Mans next year.
They are looking to field a revised version of the S102.5, but are also talking about building a 2014 P1 chassis. Mr Fushida is quoted as saying Dome need to be back in sportscars ASAP. The most important thing seems to be finding the budgets to bolt a competitive engine in the back. |

Great news. Engine-wise, the only option seems to be either HPD or (privateers') Toyota.

Dome should team with HPD for some typical Dome-Honda punch

Were Nissan not showing interest in P1 not so long ago ?
Might be a cheap way in , share costs ..... Dome do the chassis and Nissan supply the power ? |

With Honda giving an engine to OAK, they could do the same for Dome. Dome-Honda sure sounds familiar!

Dome and Honda has a LONG history together, One of Minoru Hayashi's first products in Dome was a modified Honda S600, and the Super GT and F3000 links, Toyota and Nissan did work with Dome before but I believe not as long as Honda
Maybe they can link up with Henri's boys again. If anything, they had a good run with them but the lack of finances and testing hurt them. |

http://www.mulsannescorner.com/newssept12.html has more information about Dome's plan for 2013 and 2014.
They are currently working in the wind tunnel to improve the S102.5, mainly working on the front fender holes. It seems that Dome might build a LMP2 version! |

They are unlikely to build more with just 1 year lifespan. So that leaves us with 1x LMP1, 1x LMP2 and 1x Shared Spare. And if the LMP1 project fails (by not finding a proper engine), we can have the possibility of 2x LMP2's Sounds promising to me |

I hope they realise the real thing needs to be bigger than that.

Rebellion will need a new car, they have a good engine plus money and Dome has a good chassis.
....Just doing the maths |

Their current car works fine, and with the Multimatic/Haas deal, there will be spares for next year too. They only need a new car for 2014, where everybody needs it. |
