C'etait Un Rendezvous
Having just watched the DVD for the umpteenth time since I brought it, I would like to know if anybody has owned up to being the driver, as the director claimed it was an (un-named) Formula 1 driver.

That's the one. 10 minutes of speeding around Paris with the only soundtrack being the car's engine and tyre squeal.
It's available online from www.spiritlevelfilm.com for £15 plus P&P on DVD. Expensive but worth it.

I've got it on video.
As far as i know, and according to Nigel Roebuck's write up on it in Autosport a year or 2 back, the dircetor himself Claude Le Louch has always claimed that it was he who did the driving. There have always been rumours though that it was an F1 driver of the time at the wheel.
Fantastic viewing, well worth the money (if you can find it, took me ages to track down)

Great clip, but the identity of the driver has never been revealed, but Jarier, Arnoux, Villeneuve and Jabouille are the names that come up during discussions on the topic...

If it was an F1 driver, he would probably be a) French. b)daring.
So i'd say someone like Francois Cevert
