The biggest question is the tires. Yokohama aren't new, but they haven't been the greatest.

That's the only thing keeping me from believing they will be strong midpack. On the other hand the 458 is better developed than the lotus... I would consider a top seven a good showing

They will be battling the Yokohama's, and Sweedlers stints, as well as the 02 ESM, the 48 Miller, and maybe a few other cars for the last few spots in the top 10.
That being said, I'm sure glad they are there to battle! I also hope it is a multi year deal. |

I think people are underestimating the 48 car now that it has Michelins and Marco Holzer, Bryce has been putting in competitive laptimes during testing so far.

Muscle Milk a 1:46.368!
1.2 seconds faster than their qualifying time of last year. .5 seconds off of the Audi pole time of last year. |

Perhaps, but compared to 2 Corvettes, 2 BMW's, 2 Vipers, and 2 of the Ferrari's there is going to be tough competition to match upfront. The Porsche chassis wasn't spectacular last year, and it wasn't upgraded as far as I know.

Woosh, some pace there from MM. Wonder where Rebellion will be in comparison come the 12 hours, 1.2 seconds is a lot to improve by over a lap.

There is an article over at Autoweek talking about the test and Mr. Atherton had some interesting math regarding p2 car counts at Sebring. He thinks the number will be 6.

We may see a Krohn Ferrari in GT, also a "surprise entrant" in an unnamed class. The unknown entry will be doing the post-race test too. Conquest is trying to hammer together a PC or GTC entry since they had to return their P2. ESM will have Tony Vilander in the 01 and Anthony Lazzaro in the 02. Wait a minute, surprise entry... Toyota!? |

I would guess the "surprise entrant" is Level 5.
Although the entire Sportscar world would light up if it was Toyota. |
