pretty pity Aston Martin Vantage V12 was hit back while in qualy yesterday, car was fixed in time to race, but very damaged...

ducktape did its job as well...

GetSpeed has been at it again: they tested live onboard video during the race via the newly installed 4G network (not that it helped me and my phone very much trackside, though ). Not hoping every team is gonna do this now because then it'll work for no one, but it could make live broadcasting of VLN a whole lot more attractive.

Also, did anyone camp at Brünnchen from Friday to Saturday night?

Such a shame, was looking forward to this race. But yeh, on my way there, past Hohe Acht, I could barely see anything, perhaps not even more than 15 meters ahead. Nature of the beast, I guess... Now Frikadelli Racing only needs P4 in the next race to win the Speed Trophaë. Phoenix Racing has to win or finish second I think, if Frikadelli doesn't score any points. And who would've thought that one year ago, when the team never won a race before?

Bentley have confirmed they will contest the last two races of this years VLN to gear up for N24 next year. Great news. Will interesting to see how the big Brit handles the Ring. I'm assuming it'll be the Blancpain squad that runs the car

Hi,

I came across the following post on the Rotek Racing Facebook page, outlining the team's offerings for the final two rounds of the VLN in October.

I was surprised by the costings and I have to admit to being tempted. It seems like a remarkably good deal, especially considering that Rotek has an impressive track record with drivers like Rob Huff and Oliver Gavin, and is able to provide awesome, race-winning machinery.

It's an attractive proposition, right? Does anybody know if this is the going rate and would you fancy giving it a shot?

VLN DRIVES AVAILABLE WITH AUDI CUSTOMER RACING TEAM

Multiple seats are available for the two remaining rounds of the VLN Endurance Championship held on the Nürburgring in either the Audi RS4 or the all-conquering race and title-winning Audi TTRS on 11 October and 24-25 October.

Rotek Racing – a regular in the German VLN Endurance Championship – is a diverse and professional racing team that operates at the pinnacle of motor racing from a workshop at Germany’s daunting Nürburgring Nordschleife – the ultimate proving ground.

Rotek prides itself in being equipped to provide racers off all abilities – from complete amateurs to elite professionals – with driver-coaching and Nürburgring lap experiences, as well as full VLN race packages from its base at the infamous Nürburgring Nordschleife.

Prices:
Audi RS4 - £2.9k per meeting
Audi TTRS - £5k per meeting.

Prices are all-inclusive, including insurance.

Not that I'm much of an insider, but those are the numbers I'm often hearing for rides. It's usually in the 2-4k range for those classes. But again, I'm no expert.

Just been looking on the Manthey website and the green/yellow RSR (the one that was converted to 4.4L) is for sale for 395.000 €.

Shame it is for sale, was hoping they would race it a few more times.
