Dubai 24 hour results from last week
Interesting spread of cars, categories, entrants
& 30 second + difference in lap times. Is there really a problem for the 12 hour or is it really just GT v production cars & boasting rights. Get out there & race. http://www.24hdubai.com/default.asp?page=67&newsID=665 3 x Aus entries in Class A3T. |

My last word on the changeover - I feel sorry for the organiser. He is a good bloke and cant help but feel he has been sold a pup. At least in year 1... If it wasnt for the Audi Joest Entries, the GT3 grid would be thin.
My last comment too...the organiser is a really good bloke and generally is very sharp. But he's the one who made a few dud calls in the transition to a combined race, not the least being the initial 'partnership' with a particular sports car category. No doubt there would have been many more GT entries if competitors weren't held to ransom (no start at Bathurst without paid-up 2011 season entry for the other mob)and the lack of timely and in many cases any communication on technical and eligibility requests from overseas competitors. By the time he realised he was being white-anted it was too late for many entries. It is a miracle he has got the numbers he has for 2011. |

Hopefully the promoter will simply carry over the Dubai reg's for 2012 with a sweetner for Dubai24 entrants to come to Australia. After looking at their website, this will recoup any loss from this year if it does not go to plan.
David Patterson, the point I made has far more to do with driver attitude than the track. The track is irrelivent, its the nut behind the wheel. If you do manage to make one of the 300km races held by AASA, you will see. You have a choice this year too, Wakefield in June and Winton in December. I still cant believe there is still an ongoing debate regarding speed differences. Baffling.. |

You are right 6.213, the last minute entries are starting to make the production car class interesting. Good thing. |

Calling all Production Car owners !
Stop whinging and get your cars to Bathurst.... IT'S BATHURST! HAVE A GO! Lets face it, the lap time difference between an EVO and a Yaris is probably greater then that of a Mosler to an EVO.... Go on , you know you want to ! - |

Anyone know why the Racing Dynamics (#10) Porsche has been withdrawn from Class B?

Agreed, plus it is pretty late in the day to start putting something together for a 12-hour race

is it only me that wonders, given the photos published in recent articles about DJR, how Mr Tinkler can get in and out of a roll-caged race sedan during a race inspired pitstop?

to race at bathurst you must have a national licence you cannot race on "p" plates and to get off your "p" plates you must do 5 events and a days flagging and then compete in an event every 2 years ( C.A.M.S rules according to there manual ) so how does nathan tinkler have a national licence to be able to race in this event ??? |

scrut
that may or may not be true and I would hope it is not if it is true cams has a lot to answer for they have rules regarding licencing and if it turns out you can " buy " a licence I would think that would be very interesting from a legal point of view |
