Interesting thing is that every GTLM car will be factory supported except the Ferraris and the Falken Tire Porsche.

Sounds like they would be running GTLM if they could buy a 991:

Interesting to note that they say it would actually be easier for them to find funding for GTLM than the smaller GTD budget.

I would not be surprised to see Falken in either a 458 or an Aston Martin next year. Those are really the only 2 privateer options out there right now for GT LM.

And in the past that has been a problem for how many P2 teams?? We are worried about something that hasn't been a problem in the past and have we seen if the scoring for the USCC accounts for this and drops a race score?

How about only DPs at Detroit and include the P2s at VIR? The only alternative I could see to accomodate Le Mans LMP2 teams is a "drop worst result" clause

Perhaps they could not award points for the Detroit round.
Teams that choose to show up anyway could be rewarded with a larger purse for victory, or some other incentive.

An we all know this was done on purpose to discourage P2 entrants, right? GTLM will not be running at Belle Isle, but the Prototypes will. I still don't understand why any team would run P2 in TUSCC over WEC.

Right, because the schedule isn't confusing enough. Remember, this series is still supposed to have with ties with the ACO. Belle Isle weekend pretty much discourages any American P2 team from going to Le Mans if they are in the hunt for the championship in TUSCC.

Luckily, all P2 teams that we know (as of now) to be running a P2 in USCC next year are two car teams. How likely is is that they'd get two invites in a class as oversubscribed as LMP2 in Europe?

Enter one car on Saturday at Detroit, one for the LM test on Sunday.
