Bad news, the Strakka Dome has been withdrawn from le mans. Apparently it has had a crash at the Spa test. Danny watts was unhurt but the chassis has been damaged.

You didn't ruin my whole day with that post, but you did make it a lot harder for me to be happy until I forget about it. Thar Really sucks. Hurts worse for Straka and Dome I am sure. At least that gives the team more time to prepare for Le Mans next year. |

I understand the test need, but, at Spa? REALLY?!?
That's an insane place to test this close to LM. Go to Ricard, or Algarve..somewhere with big runoff. It would be like suggesting Ebisu, Tsukuba or Macau is a good idea too... |

Sorry I just bursted into laughter by the suggestion that modern Spa doesn't have big runoffs... those gargantuan tarmac Tesco parking lot areas suggest otherwise

There was a time when many of the Fiat brands raced in the top tiers of Motorsport; as well as Ferrari we had Lancia, Alfa and Fiat - in F1 , Sportscars, Rallying and Touring cars. Apart from a few years with the Fiat-Abarth Punto S2000 in the IRC, it's basically been all about Ferrari and F1.
If any of the brands return then it surely will be in the WEC - and about time to. |

"Fan favorite" they say. Which fans? The dsc tweeter goes onto say "no waivers required". That may rule out Ford in GTE, which is a brand many are thinking. The only car they could run is the mustang which would probably need waivers. Ferrari is talked about as well. Theyre already in GTE so... I hope its Jaguar

Does this even have to do with a car or race team?
I don't know maybe I'm wrong but I interpreted “major team news” as in the Radio Le Mans TEAM.thats the way it reads to me, nothing there that implies the return of any racing team to me. |

Oh i do hope it is Jaguar, our party on Tuesday morning heading for Le mans will include 2 jags and a daimler so we would love the thought of the return of Jaguar in 2015
