Ray Bell should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
At least there's a fair bet you'll get a good tea there...

Alan Jones, what part of Sydney is blessed with your presence?

Ray,
after 7 years in Coogee we have just moved to Miranda. Good area and close to lots of boatramps!

It is said that Miranda is fair... and as you say, between the beaches and the boatramps, and the speedy run down the old Princes Hwy late at night.

I'm in Burpengary, Qld, about a week each month, the rest of the time in Murrumburrah, where work opportunities are better for me.

A Big Welcome

I want to wish a very big welcome to the newbies that have posted here. I am sorry that I have not welcomed you before this to our friendly forum, which is free of insults and abuse. Don't forget to posts lots here - when you get to 1000 posts, you qualify for the lucky draw for the Ferrari. The draw will be made when everyone reaches 1000 posts.
I do love to visit New York, (the Metropolitan Museum) but at present, I think the friendly atmosphere of Brisbane is difficult to match. Just walk down the main street, Queen St. and you will see what I mean. Brisbane is like a large friendly country town, clean, and mostly free of smog, and it has one of the best climates in the world. Just ask Ray Bell.
If I were to choose a place in teh States, it would have to be Tahoe, where I can ski, sail, hike, bike, roller blade, and enjoy absolute clean air and water.

OK, I'm not Ray Bell, but I live in Brisbane, and would have to agree with VB that it's a great place to live! Brilliant, in fact. Better than Sydney

Frankly, I'd rather the bush than any big city. Sydney has outcrowded itself over the past fifteen or so years, Brisbane is getting there too, but is a lot easier to get around.

Canberra is nice, but bitter in winter. As bitter, in fact, as Brisbane is nice in winter. But then I find the Brisbane humidity a bother in summer... showing that you can't have everything you want all the time. Sydney has some stinking hot days, too...

AlanJones, yes, that seems to be the case, and the adjoining locale, Morayfield may have been where he unloaded the excess... My Sydney abodes were as far afield as Merrylands, Balgowlah, Dural, Curl Curl, Greystanes and Silverdale. Best of all was Moonbi.

Hey all . Thanks for the replies. I actually got general admission tickets for this past weekend. It was pretty damn exciting! I was at turn 6 and 7. Not much action, but just being 15 feet from the track, watching all the cars speed by was just too damn exciting to miss. My ears started to bleed by the end, and everything seems to be muted today, but it was al worth it.

DOWNFORCE: DAMN YOU! Hakkinen will be back!!!

F1ciamp: no problem.
