I sold the Rapier and replaced it with a Sunbeam MK111. It was prepared by Ken Sparks and fitted with the Castle floor change. We did several historic events including the Liege Rome Liege and two Monte Carlo Challenges. It was a fast car with plenty of torque but suffered bad understeer in the mountains, wearing out it's taxi sized front tyres in about 1000 kms.

Running Repairs!

Just finished the final stage at Harewood Hillclimb but it looks like:

1. The exhaust needs a little attention.
2. Give up and 'chuck it in the back' - the hotel's not far.
3. But watch that hedge on the right! (And yes - it did get briefly stuck).

(Didn't get many opportunities to take photos on the event but will post a few that I did get later). Gary

Well done to Liam Brady and David Shepherd in the Aston. Well done for morphing into a GT3 Porsche driven by Martin Rigney and Robert Wheeler.
In fact just like the car used by Rigney last year!

All a bit strange???

Finally got time to post a few sets of photos from the competition element (I was unable to photograph the regularity cars hence they aren't shown). Most are from the second stage at the Great Yorkshire Showground on the Thursday afternoon by which time it was a bit dark and wet:

Last set from me - taken on the Friday - includes a couple from the finish of the morning race at Cadwell Park and a few from the finish line at the final stage (Harewood Hill-climb):

Your images are very clear considering the weather, much better than mine. What camera set up were you using at the time?

Very kind of you to say so Peter. I was using a Nikon D300 with a Nikon 70-300mm lens (although I will be replacing that in the not too distant future).

John, Thanks, will pop and see you at the LMC and keep an eye (and lens) out for the Talbots. Probably won't get any photos at Silverstone as I'm on the time-keeping team for the weekend (might get some paddock shots in downtime though). Gary
