The thread has got too messy now (too many topics, too many usuals) so it is best closed. If any of these are relevant please open a thread to discuss the particular aspect. Could I also ask that any new threads provide links to old threads for background reading. Thanks.
Although I am surprised how so few contriversial moments happend before the mid-nineties!
