Better than a limited DVD camcorder with delicate discs.
Yep, mine will do that.

Sounded like the Toyota screamed more than that Mazda in the video there. I'm largely unimpressed by the Nissan - or any car with a turbo fitted. Sod performance, make a nice noise instead!

which car has generally been known to be the loudest at Le Mans? Were the Group C's louder than the cars of today? I've only ever seen Group C's once - an invitational race at the BTCC/F3/BGT meeting at Donington, late in 2002.

i think the group C mazda 787's were the loudest cars to race at lemans or the 3.5L cars, either way they all sound nice even the slightly dull sounding
R92CP nissan at the start of the video, i have never heard the sauber C9 or sauber C11 in reality though so im wondering does anybody have a video of this beast in action?

Hmmm sadly that Group C vid has been taken offline

But here's something that makes up for it, an onboard video with a Porsche 917. Phenominal speed down pre-chicane Mulsanne, and some of the other cars sound rather nice too

hehe, i think ive got that video from google video before and i think its a 956 or 962 judging by the noise and not the supercharged V10 917, by the way my camcorder is getting fixed and soon ill have some silverstone LMES footage from the hangar straight and also off the race with bits from brooklands VIP suite and some nice footage of the BTCC from oulton park a few weeks ago, go on tom chilton!

It's a Porsche 956 from the video "In Car 956". Also, I believe the 917 had a V12.

That Corvette video is great. I've just set it up to play as my screensaver, the only pity is that its not a bit higher quality.

Here are a couple more, they may have been posted before, but not on this thread!

The first is an in car lap with J Barth in a Porsche 936, one of the best ever Le mans cars. Lucky enough to say that I saw them race in 80 & 81.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NPHN2...arch=Le%20mans

This is a lap in a McLaren F1
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T8A7U...arch=Le%20Mans

And this is a bit of fun from Fangio.

Make whats happening at Silverstone look a bit tame!
