She'd be the laughingstock of F1. Think Ide, times a million worse.

Come on guys, this thread is about my Danica collection, not the fact she is not going to F1.

No problem. I just didnt want it to take a wild turn in that direction on an F1 discussion.

Wow, I havent updated this thread in awhile. I picked up a couple real cool things since I last posted. The first pics are of an actual program from the Japan Indy 300 in 2008 where she won. It's written in Japanese with a few English words in it so I cant read it..lol. This will definitely get signed when I see her next.

The next real cool addition to my collection is one of Danica's race suits from 2006 when she raced for Rahal Letterman Racing. Forgive me for the bad picture of myself in the first picture..

DanicaFan, you don't do it by halves. I find the extent of your collection, and the regularity with which you add to it, really quite, um, awesome (in its archaic sense).

It is something else.

Thanks Dutton, I appreciate the kind words. Yes, I know its extreme but I will support her and racing as long as I can. I enjoy collecting, I dont see anything wrong with it. I also see it as an investment as well. These items will only go up in value and are truly unique. I dont have any kids but at this point I believe I would leave my collection to my dear niece, Brooklyn who is only 3 years old now but she wears Danica shirts, knows Danica by site, and when she sees any race car she always says..Danica is there. Its great. I do have some influence on her.

I knew I would get some bad and derogatory comments so I was hesitant at posting these new items. But I do it because I want to share it with the people who can appreciate a nice collection of racing memorabilia.

I'd say that most, if not all, of the "derogatory" comments are just a bit of leg pulling. No real harm meant.

Its a very nice collection and one to be proud of. Thanks for sharing it with us.

I have a 3-month old niece, and am trying to work out how to get her into motorsport. Her Dad (my brother) isn't into it, but won't care at all if she is. Her Mum, well, she could be a problem. It isn't that she is anti-motorsport, but it is just I think she finds it hard to imagine a female could want to have any interest in it without being forced. i think, too, there may be a bit of wanting it to be "her little girl" (this is their first child).

I don't have any utterly insane collections of obsession like you, so I cannot relying on subconscious bombardment effect of such things to do the job. What other things have you done? I would love to hear any advice. I have had a lifetime of solitary motorsport attendance, and otherwise 3D-land solitary motorsport experiences (with the exception of F1 on the telly, which I usually see with Dad - if he isn't asleep in his seat, ).

I need company...and there is an unmolded lump of clay, of close relation, just recently arrived in the world. I must find a means to get her into motorsport. It ain't gonna be easy in Canada, for sure.

I am hoping that by like 3, or so, that I can take advantage of Saturday might racing at the local race tracks. It could give them a certain one night a week where they can have a meal, bonk in the kitchen, or sleep (whatever they fancy). I think this could be a backbone to conversion. Beyond that, I could provide a couple of times year when I take her away for 4-5 days for a race meet. Think of the sleeping and bonking that could be done.

Anyway, I am rambling. Seriously, have you (or anyone else, for that matter) got any suggestions on how to get to catch the motorsport bug?

Hmmm, I hadn't seen it being read that way...well, presumably they'd read it the right way when seeing it in context!
