Team TAISAN (#0) runs MY12 911 GT3R rest of the season.
This is the chassis used in Super Taikyu race this year. Therefore, it conflicts with occupancy test prohibition Rule. However, MY13 GT3R is conveyed to Porsche AG for repair. Therefore, GTA permitted use of MY12. http://as-web.jp/news/info.php?c_id=2&no=51126 |

Already looks better!
Sorry if you didn't understand my question. A gt500 minimum weight is 1100kg for 2013, so gt500 minimum weight for 2014 is 1000kg or 1100kg? I got confused by your post. I was asking if the gt500 2013 cars are 1100kg minimum weight because manufacturers ballast the car to that? In other words they are lighter but to be 1100, they add ballast. Then the success ballast is in addition. |

I mean;
2013: minimum weight 1100kg (+ success ballast 100kg) 2014: minimum weight 1000kg (+ success ballast 50kg, + fuel flow restrictor 50kg) |

Ah, ok. How will they implement this? Will they go ballast first or a combination of both?

JAF GT300 vehicles will be getting a restrictor cut. http://as-web.jp/news/info.php?c_id=2&no=51364. They drop in restrictor size losing some power. The Prius is exempt though.

Samurai, is there any indication on which 'weight' the GT300's choose? Do they run 1100 or 1200 minimum weight to get more power?

Yes.
JAF GT300 teams can choose minimum weight/restrictor size from three tables(1100kg/1150kg/1200kg). CRZ choose 1200kg with bigger restrictor. (Hybrid system is the reason?) BRZ choose 1100kg with smaller restrictor. |

CRZ seems to do well at high speed areas. So that power plus the hybrid serves them well. Is ballast location free? Can they position it strategically for better ballance?

The success ballast up to 50 kg shoud be mounted on the passenger seat position.
The loading position of the ballast beyond it is free. |

I like it! Its close to what Lexus and Honda are currently doing by shaping their front bumper to compensate for the lack of the diveplanes.
