I like the Evora, pleased to see it back again.

Autosport also reported British GT has a full grid already, all 32 spots have sold out, and they say its a 50-50 split between GT3 and GT4. They do mention possibilities of accommodating more cars on the bigger circuits. Interesting they have so many entries so soon!

It's a great looking car and adds a bit more variety to the GT4 field which is good.

So that begs the question: who/what are the 'missing' entries from the list above? Motorbase? The Beechdean GT3 Aston?

Beechdean will return with a GT3 car for new AMR factory driver Ross Gunn, I think Andrew Howard is returning alongside his ELMS GTE campaign.

Would also expect at least one McLaren 650s GT3 for the new McLaren academy boys Alex Fontana and Struan Moore.

There are no confirms teams in Europe other than MRS GT but they are running Blancpain, doubt McLaren would place their two young guns straight from lower formulas to a Blancpain assault, especially when they have Andrew Watson with a years more experience.

My guess is they either fluff up a customer team or go with their in house 'Garage 56' team that ran in GT CUP in 2015, and was at the Autosport International show representing McLaren.

My prediction:

1 650s for Fontana/Moore
Maybe 1 650s for Watson/Paying Amateur
1 Beechdean Aston for Gunn/Howard

Haven't heard anything in terms of Motorbase

Those would account for a the numbers we are short to make a 50/50 between gt3/4. Don't know of any other gt4s though

Apparently team HARD are looking at fielding 2 Ginettas in GT4 (but 'looking at' and 'actually doing' are of course two very different things). The news did come from Ginetta so that at least gives it a bit of credibility.

I expect to see Hector Lester back out again,

Rossoverde Racing have a new logo and FB page has updates about new 488 so may even see them with a new car. and British GT FB page made reference to seeing them at the first round.

Now that she's missed out on becoming a full factory driver, any news on what's happened/happening with Jamie Chadwick?
It'd be a big shame if she didn't return.

I reckon she is in the second Beechdean GT4 looking for a 2nd driver as I don't think Paul Hollywood is going to do BGT anymore. Maybe wrong but …….!

Whilst the article in the link is focused mainly on the BTCC it does mention that Motorbase have British GT plans for the year:

So we may see the Astons after all....

Glad to see Optimum announce drivers for their new R8, was beginning to wonder if that entry would ever materialize.

Its really shaping up, hadn't heard that Beechdean are back, so that's good news. Not sure Team Hard are entering 4 cars though.

Yup, two spots left to announce in the GT3 category and I'm really hoping they'll be a McLaren academy car or two in there. No sign of the Motorbase Astons yet so maybe I'm out of luck.

Seems bizarre for McLaren to announce two new young academy drivers in addition to Andrew Watson, with no British GT drive for them to start with.

Not like they would want to through them into BES straight off the bat

McLaren just added Come Ledogar as an additional factory driver...

With Álvaro Parente, Rob Bell, Come Ledogar, Andrew Watson, Alex Fontana, Struan Moore, And Colin Thompson all in their pool of drivers, with possible additional drives from Senna/SVG/Lappiere, there must be some missing McLaren programmes!

What about the 2 Mercs from last year - RAM racing and Preci Spark/ the Jones'. Both teams were at the 24hr race in Dubai in January. Also will 22GT racing return and what are team LNT doing?

Good point, nothing from them yet.

As much as I love multi class racing, when you have to reject keen possible entries because of track capacity then you need to debate the idea of superstar racing for GT3 and GT4.

Didn't do PWC much harm

The Ram Racing Mercedes SLS used by Plato in British GT has been up for sale on Racecarsdirect for weeks.

Ram (with Paul White) have bought a new AMG GT so that still leaves them with two cars so if the other SLS gets entered into BGT we will find out soon enough
