R.e the G.T Open, that was a fantastic pair of races. Far better than when they raced with the WTCC a couple of seasons back.

Ok thanks for the info. And yep it was definately a good weekend overall I thought

Did someone say anything about a WTCC driver driving in this race? Autosport magazine says that it's going to be Rob Huff.

Some big names in smaller class cars. Intriguing...
I think I found more interest than I had before!

I am really up for this one now, just a shame teams like Moore and Duller don't do it anymore. Also a shame that Paragon aren't coming back this year.

brands hatch should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Hi all,

I was just re-reading this thread and i notice it mentioned that they close off copse to bridge. I just wondered what time (ish) do they do this? Also is there anywhere within the "open at night" section near the track where a small pop up tent/fishing shelter could be put up to keep food/chairs/etc etc in during the day and overnight? The only reason I ask is that we havent bothered with the camping and we decided to get a lift rather than drive so wont have a car to store stuff in!! .

Thanks in advance

I think around 7ish for the track closures around till about 8ish in the morning. As for the tent I'm sure you could put it in amonst the support paddock somewhere.

Wow that is a bit more restricting than i was expecting! That means you are in a comparitively small area for quite a long period of time! Damn was looking forward to late night walks aroung the track! Hey ho, I guess it must be to do with safety in the darkness etc!?

Going to be relaying Britcar news to the guys at Radio Le Mans over the weekend so expect bits of news to pop up during their PLM coverage :P
Absolutely buzzing for this weekend! Should be a really good one even if the weather doesn't want to play ball.

Anyone got a live timing link by the way? Not planning to be chained to the pit lane all weekend afterall!

In the past they don't let you go 'out' after dark, but if you are out before dark, you could stay out. Once you come back to the pits you can't return until daylight again.

So, in the wee small hours punters can only wander round the pit area, or a small portion of the infield? I'm going to get awfully claustrophobic!

Ahh this sounds like a plan!...we did want to stay out there, not all night just until 9/10pm, so i think we probably will do this!

can't wait for this now, we are arriving saturday AM. Should be an excellent weekend!

Thats pretty much what happened to us in 08. It's not too high a gate to jump over, in fact last year they didn't even close the gates for the 500, I got some lovely photos on my phone of the sunset with the cars with lights on, then got wet when the rain set in.
Anyway I'm off to Silverstone now.
