James Lindridge finished 5th a fabuolus result at coombe the conditions were the worst we had seen in ten years.
Andy Hack had probably the drive of the day, he was pole sitter by some 1.6secs only not to have his car in gear when the lights changed so ended up in 8th place, after the first lap but in true Andy stlye came through to take the win. |

Got to say well done to Ken Welch at the Silverstone classic. Seemed to be quite a few incidents and Ken was sporting an odd wheel arch for the second race after he was mauled in the earlier encounter.

Thanks Rob, looking forward to it. Think Dad has done a good job of replacing everything I managed to break last time out now, hopefully we will manage without support from the purple spares truck this time out!

With Ken now entered, class E looks like a south west vs south east challenge.

It will be good to see proper 10" wheels minis battleing it out, i had thought about entering but my car is mig and down on power and no lsd so i will be at a disadvantage straight away.to all you 1380 boys with your lsd.
Having said all that you should seen Geralds car with his mig engine in it .John acheived a 2.12 on the gp circuit having never raced in the uk before or driven in the wet. One can only descide it as a stunning performance. |

For those of you that follow the migs and are not members of the mini7 club, it has been confirmed today that Andy Hack engine and gear box is all legal following the sealing of his car at the end of castle coombe

Jules high we could start an interesting debate here
For me some the best racing ive have seen over the years is mini 7 club spec minis both migs and sevens. I think like for like racing is more exciting.Lets include the mighty minis ( 12" wheels) My comment relates to the dmn race in class e where basically it will be like for like racing. When 13" wheel mini races a 10" wheel it is not like for like and the 13" has an advantage, better compond and tyre width choice. |

Some interesting points Robert.
My view is that a mini should be a mini and by that I mean steel body and the engine as designed at the factory. Im not saying i have any problem with the other types im just saying when is a mini not a mini? That car of Harvey Deaths is surely no more that a fibreglass shell over a space frame. It could be anything, a clio, corsa etc. I would love to compete in races like the 50th Meetings involving a great mix of minis like Geralds, Kens, Stephens, lee's Mini and so on. |

Tris its a bit more because your extra travelling costs, entry fees are a bit more but its not loads more there are a lot of people both in the migs and sevens that are on a tight budget. there is around at snetterton on 26/27 sept if you was intrested to pop up and have a chat. I must say i have enjoyed doing the intermarques and the migs this year, but then again i am not worried about a championship, and have picked what events i enjoy.
