johnh875 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Do you Brits get sick of the way every time Clarkson drives an Aussie car it’s all “Crocodile Dundee”, outback, kangaroo, etc, etc… Crocodile Dundee drove an old truck with no doors not a V8 coupe… (Monaro VXR that was on the episode shown here) I have seen most tests they have done of the Monaro and it’s the same thing every time – how many times can it still be funny?

I think its just that the British don't hear or see much about Oz in the news, films etc, other than Crocodile Dundee and Steve Irwin. Hence its kind of hard to form an objective opinion. If its any consolation, they now even less about Finland and thats only a few 1000km away.

It's not as if it happens very often. An Aussie car worthy of being tested by a British programme that is...

And to be fair, they do like the Monaro very much indeed.

And to be honest, most Ozzy cars suck the big one. The biggest selling things are numb Vauxhall Omega lookalikes called Holden Commodores. Built to a very minimal budget, then squeeze a truck engine in the front and call it a Sports Saloon. Its no wonder that Japanese cars sell so well here, and we still hear calls for import tariffs to be raised to protect the Aussie markets. Very inward thinking, its no wonder that things are expensive in Oz. European cars are much better built, but end up costing a lot more for a smaller car after all the import taxes and costs.

Andy, and then they take those Commodores, turn them into a coupe, export them and Jeremy Clarkson raves about them... Not that they don't have their faults of course.

Clarkson was driving like a prat as usual, but it was very, very funny. Even my youngest daughter who hates car programmes was killing herself laughing.

That was the best one ever!!!!

Where to start. JC being himself on the bi-athlon, a submachine gun!
The ice hockey match - How much damage! at least the eygo's last season were designed to have replaceable plastic panels. Not sure the swifts are!
Everything about the ski jump, even down to James trying to mark out the distance and RH trying to build a snow wall.
Still enjoyed watching the bobsley- rallycar race again.

What a classic

I thought one of the funniest bits was when JC phoned his wife for help because he couldn't figure out how those seats folded flat in the Volvo........."Eh Darling"

I enjoyed seeing them all fall over at various times as well ..best comedy program i've seen in a while

Well it was a poor special episode to watch as it was billed as entirely that!

Did we get to vote for the best stunt? Did we have an celebraties (expect "TV's Richard Hammond"?). The programme afterwards presented by Neil Morrisey was more like that, and then not really like it

It is a bit of fun. Ultimately they just get a chance to play with cars. New ones. Good stuff. They probably get bored of driving fast around the Top Gear test track!

I liked it - it was distracting and amusing.
