Bermingrud and Jespersen are both developing new cars at the moment and of course Morten may be still recovering from his injuries in Holland hence why they havent entered perhaps.

In 2007 and 2008 the class was already run in the ERC as the "Rallycross Cup". For 2009 and longer they were put into Division 2 to replace the former Group N cars. However, those RWD cars are less exciting than it was expected.

Not really, its supposed to be loosely based on the early 80,s ERC cars, RWD Escorts, Beatles, Volvo 343,s etc, without the turbos.

I though the Div2 cars that were at Lydden for the winter series looked good - Sterkens looked to be pretty quick whilst De Keersmacher was certainly entertaining! Get a few more cars out there and it'll be great to watch.

Then a few days for the latest work...

Dark clouds over Lydden concerning D2. Michaël De Keersmaecker backs out late and is planning a sabbatical year instead. There are just seven D2 entries left now, but due to the new rules the RWD category needs also eight starters for ERC points in 2009…

@ mivec: Any idea under which permit the new Colt should compete in the ERC? No new Colt in the current homologation list and in the list of non-homologated cars but eligible for D1, D1A and D2 is since April 1 2009 a Mini Cooper (1.6) included, but still no new Colt…
