WMUCarGuy should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
So does anyone think there's any chance the Astons will be over for Petit/Laguna?

Perhaps the cars owners would like them to get a bit more history.

Hmmm. It's Grannie's broom again. If the engine got rebuilt post LM, is it the same car???
If AMR sold the car as entry 009, LM 2009, then that would be definitive, no?

I hope for the buyer's sake that is what the contract said! Prodrive's Aston programs have heavily depended on collectors so they gotta keep them happy so we keep seeing new race cars, which keeps us happy.

Let's hope those collectors want more provenance for their cars and show up for Petit and Laguna Seca.

If anyone in Yorkshire at the weekend, one of the cars (along with Darren Turner) will be at the Bradford Classic on Saturday. Oh yes and the 1988 winning Jag will be on show too.

What will Aston Martin/Aston Martin Racing/Prodrive do in the future? The budgetting in F1 has come to a halt, similiar to Verstappen's test run; crashy with some damage.

I hope they start an official LMP program. In my opinion the brand is more suited for Sportscars racing than F1.

Prodrive has said that there has been considerable interest in a mod package for the DBR9 , which would see it race again in the Fia GT .

I was talking with some of the Pratt & Miller boys at Le mans , and they told me that they might well be back with the GT1 C6R at Le Mans next year , with a simelar revised mod package for the 2010 GT1 rules .

Is there not an upspec option for a DBRS9 too?
Should keep Prodrive solvent!

Do you guys think that Aston Martin will develop somekind of race version of the V12 Vantage (other than the one used at the Nurburgring) and the DBS?

No because the DBS doesn't have the "9" in its model number but so it will "only" be DBSR .
but if they do like the DBR9 make a smaller one for other racing (DBRS9) it could be DBSRS!

That's my point...

The AMR LMP1 nr.009 did give very nice show at the Goodwood festival of speed though!

This series of four vids is well worth the watch,by the way.

Makes sense really given the ones they have belong to collectors. Build them and sell them on when your done. Like P&M did with the Vettes.

Hopefully they can get a little more power and speed out of the design.

I would expect whatever comes outta the Prodrive stable will be better than a bought chassis .

Do you really think Prodrive will design a new chassis for next year? The way I see it: "a new chassis" can have two meanings:

1) A new (Lola) chassis, to replace the ones they used this year (and are sold to collectors)
2) A completely new (bij Prodrive) designed chassis (because they don't want to use the Lola chasssis anymore).

Given the fact that option 2 is a lot more expensive I guess they will go for option 1. But maybe Prodrive/Aston Martin/Charouz have more money than we know
