No 458's ???? Even a GT-R and no Ferrari but the 4/5 evolutzione?? Whats going on here?.

Good outfit's, is there anywere a N24h (porn) Spotter guide?

I hope this year also we can have the sat car location timing,as the previos years to follow cars through the ring!!

Don't think a Spotters Guide for this event is even possible. Too many cars with too many changes to liveries near the event. Your best case is to memorize some of the liveries. The top cars should have pretty distinct liveries except for a few. I normally take note on the entry list of the sponsor because I'm more or less accustomed already to the colors of the different sponsors.

However, a makeshift Spotters Guides based on photos of the initial VLN rounds would be an interesting thing to do, just no time and no easy access to all the photos! Numbers wouldn't be right too but the colors would be there.

@ andrew: you can check the list of the cars of the vln in 2012 by now:

but the levery of the haribo-corvette for example will change before the 24h. some of the cars of the list will not start at the 24h.

but it will help a littlle, i hope.

Should be some distinct liveries in the SP9 class for sure, the Pheonix Audis (Bilstien), Vita4One, Schubert, Falken, Marc VDS, Haribo.

Do wish that Manthey would race the 'green beast' or at least have that colourscheme on one of the cars. But think they will be running the wochenspiegel and the vodka sponsored ones.

Interesting to see that in the team database , the Falken Porsche is listed as running in 24h special, whilst the #10 and 11 Manthey run Porsche's will be in class SP9. The Falken Porsche will be running at a weight of 1200kg and the two Manthey's (along with others) will be running at 1300Kg.
So we see different options for the restrictor size.
It's going to be interesting to see how this pans out.

PS. I just checked a earlier entry list and the #44 Falken was listed as running in SP9GT3. Database may be off.

Yes, but I don't see a 1200Kg option fro the GT3R.
I think the database may be wrong.

In SP8 says there is an LFA, and a 458, these are road cars, no?, to my knowledge it doesn't exist a GT3 or GT4 Lexus LFa.

LF-A is a modified road car. The 458 though... I'm not sure if it's the 458 that started racing in the VLN late last year or the GTE version.

Its an upgraded 458 Challenge. Not a real GTE or GT2.

Its not even a 458 GT3 either, i am surprised that no one has entered a Ferrari in the SP9 class as i would presume the 458 GT3 would fit this class.

To be honest i cant really remember much of the 458 GT3 in any endurance racing so maybe it is no good in the longer runs.

how many german teams own a ferrari gt2/gt3? just fernbacher and vita4one, the first didn't join this year and the second one uses z4. So no surprise about this... maybe AF Corse should start to consider to enter.

Thats a very good point, ive always thought of the Nurburgring 24hrs as a big international race because of its popularity but if i look at the entry list again your right there is a almost exclusively Germanic feel to the grid. Maybe some of the other European teams like AF Corse, Hexis or someone should think about entering this race.

Don't know the motivations, but may be the lack of top top teams here related to green hell safety? or maybe due to the busy 24 hour races calendar with spa-blancpain and LM test and LM itself.

But the point with this race is the technical freedom with so many classes, this makes the posssibility of accept special cars like the glickenhaus one off that isn't allowed (competing for the main race also) anywhere else.

Yokohamas, actually. The Falken logo on the fender is on all cars as they are sponsoring the event.
