A narrow angle V has been a feature of VAG engines for some time now. Golfs and jettas and probably others have seen V6s and the W12 of Bentley and Audi is basically a pair of those engines. I'd still love to see the F1 rule compliant engine though...... |

Being 'Mr. Relevance', I liked this comment (Google translation from French to English), "...relevant ideas to the production car. It has been the case for me. I started my career in motorsport and, thereafter, I worked on production cars and will bring my ideas." To me, this means that the philosophy of the connection (relevance) between prototype endurance racing and the production street cars is important, is real and is a goal. This is super important to me and one of the reasons this sport is so intriguing. |

You can't run just Le Mans nowadays. The invitees need to take part in one of the LM Series or the WEC. And since P1 are eligible exclusively in the latter, Porsche need to sign up for WEC in order to run in LM24.

LM24 debut? I figured that might be a bit too late. Maybe they will try for Spa if everything is going well.

I'm sure if Porsche wants an LM24 Debut. Porsche gets a LM24 debut.

Mr Domingos Piedade (former AMG Chief) said in Eurosport Portugal that he had a chat withMr. WOLFGANG HATZ who said about the new Porsche LMP1 that everyone was going to be amazed by the technology that Porsche will bring to Le Mans, especially the engine...

It is confusing since Cayenne doesn't have just one engine or what is "the" engine for the Cayenne it is most known for?

I'm thinking there will be a LOT of disappointed fans/posts on here when they announce some low displacement turbo something. They are the only ones to run an F1 engine if VW wanted to make use of the regs but there's no way their interest could have been kept quiet long.

In the meantime, Neel Jani has been confirmed as Porsche factory driver. He has signed a multi-year contract that starts on July 1.

He will complete the current season for them, yes. But he'll still be employed by Porsche in the meantime (for testing).
Great choice, by far the fastest Rebellion driver. |
