The question remains - who will join Bruce Jouanny in the Pescarolo? Tinseau and Barbosa would be logical, but strange that it wasn't announced.

Oh boy, that 430 crewed by gentlemen is gonna be such a threat! It could sneak onto the podium through attrition but it's hardly a world-beater. At least it furthers the chance of an all-pro lineup in the lead AF Corse car, now that they have this group of charitable $$ in the race anyway.

Pity to lose Gigawave, who were the one remaining faint hope of stalling the Corvette Racing steamroller in GT1.

That is not the point at all . What woulf LM have done without Porsche for many years to support their coffers . Why not just be honest and have a Ferrari challange .

We've been through this before - the vast majority of Ferraris are there on auto-entries, and it's difficult to argue most aren't deserved. Hell, even Advanced Engineering/AF Corse deserves to be above the mystery Chinese Porsche on the reserve list...

Ignoring the issue of auto-entries, the other question has to surround what Porsche team could/did enter a car that should be there. Autorlando is about the only one I can think of who may have submitted an entry, because I don't think any other factory-blessed squads (Farnbacher-Loles, Manthey, Prospeed) did... Porsche's lack of LMS and FIA-GT representation lately hasn't helped their entry numbers.

Yep, great shame (although I fully appreciate their reasons for forfeiting). The prospect of a classic in GT1 was already faint. That's the nail in the coffin, unfortunately.

Yup, GT1 is going to be a non-event this (it's last) year, shame really.

The two P&M 'Vettes will just trundle around for 24 hours and pick up 1st and 2nd, probably followed by LAA, oh well, at least the Prototype classes look like having a proper battle, and whilst not everyone likes the mass of 430's in GT2, at least I think there will be a battle at the front in that class.

Actually, I suspect the ACO will be far from unhappy about this. The marque is irrelevant, but the considerable media exposure this entry will bring to that part of the world will be most welcome, in the eyes of the ACO.

Very disappointed to hear of Epsilon's decision to forfeit their entry. What chance we'll see the new car at all this year?

Not happy to see that Lovely EE not taking the start , but delighted to see another Porsche ..... nice if they had Charlie Cheng in the car too .

Any word on drivers yet ?

Now I want one of those Fiats to pull out and we can have another Porsche instead .

I expect very much to gain another Porsche, unfortunately at the expense of a faster one. From what I've read Vitaphone is looking very unlikely.

Really , they cant seen to get their act together with respect to LM . Last year they talked about shoving an MC12 engine into a Lola . They had all year to do that and didnt .
Then there was news about 2009 with a RS Spyder and Porsche didnt have a clue about that either and were never approached for support .

So we might get another IMSA Porsche in , great news .

WR might get in yet .

No chance at all I would have said! They have already said that they won't do the LMS, only LM, and now they have pulled out of that too.

Whilst it would be great to see Barazi and even WR get into the race I'd hate to see any of the top teams pull out, although I guess the 3rd Lola-Aston DBR1-2 will pull out at some stage. But I hope not....
