AlMillion should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
World Series by Renault

Looks like Robbie Kerr might be in this next year - hope he finds the funding and finally gets the attention he deserves!

The first testing for the new car (albeit the same car with different gearchange and brakes) is this week ...

Excellent driver. Hope he gets a break. Needs real top class management though.

He seems to have professional management now www.lateralgmotorsport.com so here's hoping!

Think its going to be a very competitive test session ... does anyone know where you might be able to obtain the times or will it be confidential?

Is Cochet still helping out with the testing of the car, really hope he can pull a drive out of the bag in this series, have any of the teams named drivers for next year yet?

Oh maybe it wasn't World Series.

According to italiaracing.net, Giovanni Tedeschi is (I think) a certainty for one seat at RC Motorsport next year.

And Colin Fleming will be doing the World Series (as a Red Bull driver) with Jenzer apparently the confirmed team.

More news from italiaracing.net: it appears Carroll won't test for Epsilon Euskadi at Paul Ricard, but Kerr will (unless my translation has gone badly wrong)...

Looks like Renault Sport is in a mess. They still owe prize money to Formula Renault V6 teams from last championship and are not paying them yet.
They want immediate payment on WS inscriptions.
They were supposed to take back the old V6 cars and provide WS chassis while teams were supposed to pay the difference. Now they want the WS chassis paid fully by the teams before they pay the value of the old FR V6 chassis....

I think Kerr is probably a safer bet than Carroll ... Epsilon really need to assert themselves in 2005 otherwise they'll always be seen as a team that comes in 3rd

Erm, I agree that Carroll is a handy driver but Kerr is not only more experienced but managed to win both Formula 3 championships back to back ... something Carroll hasn't done despite a lot of trying.

The only negative on Kerr is he's not had a complete season's racing recently ... however he did win a race from 14th in Ren V6 this year and also qualify on pole by 1.7seconds in the LMES race at Silverstone. I don't think he's lost his touch since he beat Courtney (Jap F3 Champ in '03) to the British F3 title.

Anyway, Carroll isn't testing for Epsilon so I'd say Kerr has to be the favourite for a seat (assuming he's got the money)?

I'm sure we all wish money didn't come into it ...

Friday, 17th December 2004

Good work Miki! Where did you get the times from?

Montanari also won some races in Ren V6 this year, didn't he? Makes Kubica look even better as they used the same car.

I guess Kerr is driving tomorrow. Also, where are Victory? I thought they were going to make the move to World Series?

My friend is in Le Castellet and he e-mailed me the times. They are also published on a very useful Italian site: www.italiaracing.net (click World Series 3.0 on the left).

Kerr is driving tomorrow, with the same car as Montanari and Kubica.

Looking at the times I'd say the track has rubbered in a bit and got faster. Miki, do you know if all the cars are re-badged Nissan World Series cars or are some teams using FRV6 cars? I heard that some of them don't have the new cars yet!
