Delighted to be able to hold up honour of British cheeses.

For those interested, the details of the cheese I brought is available from the marvellous Neal's Yard Dairy, where I picked it up the Tuesday before heading down.

and in French for our gracious hosts

For the best of British blue cheese I'd often go for a Stichilton, which is very similar to a Stilton, but made from unpasteurised milk. It's often more interesting flavour-wise, but when tasting which to go for, on the day the Colston Basset had more going for it.

Look forward to seeing what we can come up with next year.

WOW more and more each year. That's a great photo!
Sure missed the cheese and wine.
I hope to see everyone there next year!

Neals yard is a great cheese shop - I often go there and you are right, the Stichelton is superb. There is also a great French cheese stall in Borough Market and another doing an Italian cheese soaked in Barolo - which is really good.

Well done for getting it.

They do about 10 different stilton's in waitrose and the Cropley bridge I took came from there, however leading up to Christmas the shelves of most supermarkets get filled with various stiltons in an array of containers

Hi all,
Nice to see that you had a great time. I want to apologize for not joining. We went in town for a little shopping in the morning and did not come back on time to attend.
Cheers,

I only managed a few minutes and said a couple of hellos then I had to dash off. Maybe next time, whenever next time may be. The spread looked very impressive!

Me and my brother didn't manage to make it to the meeting place in time - we over did it slightly at the party in town after the driver parade on Friday - this involved getting horrendously drunk, getting lost on our walk back to the circuit and eventually getting a lift back from a friendly gendarme.
Only just got up in time for the race start!

Didn't make it either due to time constraints, maybe a Friday meeting could be added next year ?
I did see the party in the Oak pit with James in attendance, I was standing on a step catching some video as they came walking out to the front ! I then bumped into Tim at the end of the pit lane and had a quick chat about Asda Dick Dastardly T-shirts !
I'm sure that there was a Forum member sitting in front of us for the build up and start of the race, on the terrace opposite the #36 Alpine garage, he never made the meet either I'm sure ? We had a big flag rolled down over us at one point during the build up.
Le Vieux shared the same delightful campsite as us (although the grass needed cutting this year ) and I think we were on the same crossing back yesterday evening, as I'm sure I passed him on the A2 coming out of Dover ?
Oh nearly forgot....I followed Simon (GT6) for a few miles out of Yvetot on Weds until he put his foot down and left my over-laden BM for dust !

No it was a silver tourer 52 plate, the Jag that I was following was a 57 ? I stayed with you up until just after we went over the bridge, but then the lorries held me back, my partner in the passenger seat started to worry as it was her call on when to overtake
I'm sure I recognised you in your wing mirror at one point , only from a previous 10-tenths meet and photos on here. I found that detour around Rouen pretty pleasant, although we went back through Rouen on the Dieppe A150 detour without any hitch, albeit on Tuesday afternoon when there was less traffic.

Sounds like it was us! 5.15 P&O sailing from Calais, then up the A2 towards the Dartford Tunnel. Didn't make home till headlights-on time and feeling distinctly jaded today, which has been spent unpacking, putting away camping gear until the next time and my wife has spent the day filling and emptying the washing machine.

This is uncanny!

We went (albeit on Tuesday) via Yvetot and the Pont de Brotonne, but returned yesterday via the Official Rouen detour via the Dieppe road. We were probably well ahead of you yesterday, since we stopped for lunch south of Abbeville and spent some time stocking up on wine in Calais before boarding the ferry.

We tried driving back on the old route avoiding the Tolls, but after being stuck behind a slow moving convoy for seemingly ages through the villages, elected to rejoin the faster route. I just couldn't believe the lovely weather on the way back after what we endured down there ! Yes we was on the Pride of France 17.15 too.

Today was spent drying out tents (and watching some Eurosport race playback )!

mine is a 07 plate but yes I do remember a silver estate just past the town so it does seem we were together at that point, must have been around 12 ish or may be a little later

On our route home, we passed close by Livarot and Neufchatel.

Alternatively, there's no reference because it's all been eaten (well, nearly all!)

Alternatively, we're all cheesed off at the fact that it's still 353 days to LM2014
