You could probably get more than 25 mph out of a Maestro if you rammed it with a Mondeo.....

Ooooh, Soooo tempting at times

Any Maestro fans want to kick the proverbial out of me, I will be at Silverstone this Saturday and at Donington for the Touring cars, all 3 days...

My everyday Maestro's good for 105mph on the motorway on a good day I /might/ (depending on whether Chris's Mighty Mini race) be at Donington for the BTCC meet - look out for the bright blue and purple Maestro camper on the campsite and/or in the Starkey's Straight parking area if I'm there

I have stood and suffered (shivered)for the cause...

Why not the butty van? it could be tagged onto the ever increasing convoy that seem to come at the end of the session!

ooh how about getting the burger van to chase the starts - that way if something happens to make you drop your chips they can replace them!

I reckon the BRSCC are going to follow up on that, EP. I have been keeping an eye on the amount of course cars they seem to have these days. One to collect reports from the marshals, one to check the track is clear, another to make sure cars 1&2 got round safely, etc, etc. It's only a matter of time before the ice cream vans join in

At an Anglesey meeting last year when the weather was extremely hot I did suggest to the Chief Marshal, when she made her rounds, that the Ice Cream van should follow all the Course cars round and drop off ice creams at every post. Unfortunately my idea wasn't successful.

How about a race series for course and Fire cars?

All turn up with their home circuit painted down the sides, regular course car drivers of course, (no ringers), but what to suggest as a prize for the winner?

Then, at Oulton, there's the crossing control car (for the pedestrian crossing at Lodge), fire trucks, rescue units, etc., swapping posts, then maybe the medics will decide to have a trip round the circuit, plus of course the recovery units going about their business.......
