Such a shame for such a talented and likeable driver....really deserves more attention from sponsors and teams...age old thing in british motorsport, most of our young talent gets overlooked where as people who's parents have money get it all

I would have thought 888 have a fourth car sat waiting for KX to promote their Akademy driver into the seat, ''KX Junior''? Plato/Tordoff and Hynes/Ingram would be a *very* strong lineup.

Not one but two stories released before their holy website released them!
In fairness since there has been a change of 'Editor 1', they have been less dictatorial about news stories.
Any respectable news outlet whether it be printed or web-based should respect news embargo's!

Must be a mistake. The lap distance on the page doesn't tally up and who is Alan Menu?

Edit: Every circuit has the same facts on it. Including the middle race being a longer distance than the first and third. Has the site been launched before it's finished?

News story confirms there will be a Rotek announcement tomorrow, as well as a Welch Motorsport one and a Rob Austin car unveil.

Awesome news, looks like a quality effort. I can't wait to see those cars show up!

I have to go on a minor rant here, don't take it personal Screw embargo's! They're a relic from the past, a hopeless method of keeping magazines competative. Magazines have no use anymore for 'the news'. Internet's here for that. Magazines should focus on in-depth features and background articles. Times are changing, time to move on people! Your story will get leaked anyway!

One of the larger car-websites of the US, Jalopnik recently published this article: http://jalopnik.com/why-jalopnik-doe...-to-1476491366

Sums it all up nicely

2-year deal with Exocet for Rob Austin to replace WIX. Livery looks same as the one Jake Hill raced at 2013's final round.

Good news that Austin has a sponsorship package in place. I didn't personally care much for the paintjob though on Jake Hills car in the last rounds of 2013.

Does the Audi have a new front end?

It doesnt appear to have the fake grills now.

Probably put the more attractive one on for display purposes.

Wouldn't surprise me if TOCA have asked teams to put proper ones on this year rather than stickers...they don't look attractive and they may want the cars to look a bit closer to road ones.

Ollie Jackson at Welch Motorsport this year.

BTC Racing were tweeting about the grille stickers for their Cruze recently - £60 a pop - so presumably they are still allowed.

Yeah two cars at Welch. They wanted to expand in 2013 but couldn't get the right deal together for a second Proton so ended up doing the Ford for Nye.

Needless to say, Nye won't be back this season.

I see from the live blog that is running on autosport.com that the BTCC now has a media partnership between the British Touring Car Championship and AUTOSPORT's parent company Haymarket Publishing.

AUTOCAR, What Car? and Pistonheads branding will be appearing on the BTCC cars through the 2014 season.

If that also includes increased promotion in Autosport, Motorsport News and Autocar magazines then that will be rather useful.

Pistonheads.com as well. I noticed the logos on the new site this morning (1am) and forgot to mention them.

I wonder if Ollie's Lotus connections have helped him get the Proton seat.

Readers of Autosport and MN are probably well aware of the BTCC.... talk about preaching to the converted! Autocar is probably more worthwhile...

So all this pantomime he put out about "poor little me" and "we'll keep fighting" blah di blah after he split with Wix, and he had a replacement deal anyway?
