squareleg should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Canadian Grand Prix car

There is a question in the Winter Motorsport Quiz at www.mstworld.com "What was the name of the only Canadian car to compete in a World Championship GP, who drove it, where, and what was the result?". Can anyone help, the Wolf springs to mind but that wasn't really Canadian and certainly had more than one race.

That would be the Stebro, driven by Peter Broeker at the US Grand Prix of 1963. This was an FJ car with a Ford engine, and whilst Broeker was not a bad driver it was a little underpowered, and the chassis didn't necessarily compensate for the shortage.

Clark, Hill et al saw the back of that Stebro rather often. It finished 7th, largely because of persistence.

The Stebro is the only one to make it to the track that I can find...The Trebron-Judd had a Canadian designer...can't remember his name except that it was Trebron backwards,,,Norbert................but I believe it was actually a Japanese effort..

I had thought that the Sadler Formula Ferocious had entered an F1 race at the Glen at one point, but I can't find any information to back this up. I could have sworn that it has run in some of the Historic F1 only events. Perhaps it was a Formula Libre event the car ran at, during the F1 weekend????
