Toyota confirm McNish
at last toyota have announced that Mika Salo and Allan mcnish will drive for them in 2002 ..excellent news i reckon.

Salo is a proven driver but there has always been a cloud over mcNish for some reason even though he has been very impressive in everything else he has driven in ..so now he will get his chance.

well done allan and good luck i for one will be pulling for you to do an excellent job

At last - this has been due since the 1989 British F3 championship when he hammered Mika Hakkinen and Salo at virtually every round.

Im delighted for him, I think he'll be more than a match for Salo

It's about bloody time this guy got a shot at F1 glory. Pity it's with Toyota.

However, if he goes well, perhaps there is a chance of a good seat. But age may go against him...

Hmmm...actually I firstly thought that the drivers for 2002 were already confirmed in...erm...was it April? I just remember we had long threads about Toyota and McNish.

What can I say, finally another team Minardi could beat. But as Jersound says rightly, we will see.
