How to remove paint from a carbonfibre monocoque?
What is the most effective but careful way to remove the paint from a carbonfibre monocoque?
Shotblasting with sand, glass, dry-ice, ...? I heard that the Formula 1 teams remove the paint with sandingpaper before respraying the monocoques. The reason for that is the sensitivity of carbonfibre on waterabsorbation. Does anyone has experience with this? |
