David Owen should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Cadwell Park Season openers 18th / 19th April

Just a quick note to remind everyone that Cadwell Park opens its cars season on Sat / Sun 18th and 19th April.

18th sees BRSCC running the show with the not to be missed HSCC meeting on 19th.

Many of you will know that Mr Watson Senior (John) has now stepped down as Chief Marshal for Cadwell and I am struggling to follow in his esteemed shoes. One thing I can guarantee however is that the "Watson Standard" will still be applied to all Cadwell meetings on my watch. That standard is - guaranteed lunchbreak and reasonable finishing time. I am limited in my weather forecasting to what I can glean from the internet (sorry about that).

There is still plenty of time to volunteer for either or both meetings - all grades and levels of experience welcome and catered for.

Free tea and coffee at sign on too.

If you can help please contact me via ususal channels - (marshals.org.uk, PM or contact details on BMMC website).

Hope to see you all soon.

David.

So that accounts for one day, guess you are marshalling the other? (I can send some tyre changes your way at lunchtime )

ah but with practice and 2 races that only accounts for an hour on the Saturday, could always marshal hairpin and then have the car ready to pick up the field ready for races we could all ways ensure you get back to hairpin to resume the marshaling

We only have the one race on the Saturday, sadly its not a double header for us. And its the fields (and walls) that im trying to keep it out of
Will have to make sure I wave to you all on the slow down lap

Tickets for the HSCC on the 19th are winging their way to you all at the moment. Entry list is looking good with some 160 so far.

Still plenty of time to volunteer for either or both days.

Will be there in the BRSCC EA rescue unit. Looking forward to my trip to Cadwell. Sunday's HSCC looks good grids. And its also my birthday on the Sunday too.
What are the BRSCC grids like?
If anyone asks I will be 21 again this year. Keeps happening every 12months. Strange!!

Rgds,
Rich S
Think we have about 20 for the mighty minis and a few less for the supers, spoke to a Fiat driver today and they are slightly improved on last years grids but they were not sure on numbers yet.
If anyone is interested the timetable and finals are at http://www.brscc.co.uk/force-downloa...18April_09.pdf

they do have a couple more than last year but I do not have the exact figures

However the rest of the grids are looking good with high teens on the entries.

I received an entry list this morning that was at least 8 days out of date

The Gate Keeper should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Hi,

Winter breaks seem to be getting shorter every year!

Unfortunately I'm extremely unlikely to be able to make this weekends entertainment because of a fast approaching deadline for my uni work. At times like this, I do question why I have got back into education at my age!

However I will be back at the circuit (in my new overalls) shortly to see what accidents (or gates) I can attract!

So I hope you all enjoy yourself and keep safe.

Just had some details on grid sizes, as of today there are:-
28 Mazda MX5's
19 TVR's
19 Alfa's
20 Mighty Minis
20 Super Mighty Minis
13 Fiats
So there are some good grids to look forward to

Sorry Paul my days on the bank are finished. My gear doesn't fit anymore, it needs to shrink a size.
