Formula BMWs at Lakeside

Having watched the race on telly I have to say how impressed we were at the controlled roll at Lakeside after the huge impact.

Superbly done ladies and gentlemen - you put that car down like a feather. Perhaps it will appear on the next marshal' training video as how to do a job perfectly. And we noticed a lovely mix of people - Silverstone, Oulton, Donington, all working together as a well ordered team.

Just how it should be. Marshals working together as team.

Our congratulations on a job well done.

Sheila and Steve

I was Observing at Lakeside over the weekend and this was the only incident we had!

Unfortunately, the trees along Lakeside meant that my view was 75% obscured. As the car had impacted and was upside down I chose to call for the SC and a Doctor......just to be safe!

The team did a sterling job, led by fellow ten-tenther SJC-214 as my I.O.

The driver wasn't happy that the Medical team made him go back with them.......he was asking to continue as he was still belted up and no apparent damage to his car.

BTW - if anyone has a tape of this I wouldn't mind a peek!

Well!
Apparently, Chris Powell who got clobbered by the Clio at Hill Top has been told by the TV people that they will send him a copy of the programme, so perhaps he might lend it out!!

I have already set the video to record the said program and I will be happy to lend it to people after I have seen it. PM if you want to barrow it.

As IO at Lakeside I would just like to thank all the members of the team for a job well done.

Just watching the tape from this morning, and excellent coverage of the roll-over being performed, and the complementary comments of Mr Hindaugh and guest.

Good work guys & girls, put the Monaco lot in the shade by a long way.

Al.
(ps tape available if required, PM me).
