The Eagle Mk 5 (1968-1969 Formula A)

After much prevarication, I have published a history on ORC today of one of my favourite cars, the 1968-69 Eagle Mk 5.

This is the car that won the first two Formula A championship in the US, with Lou Sell (above) in 1968 and Tony Adamowicz in 1969. Formula A was the original name of Formula 5000.

There is still much I don't know about these cars, which is why I've been holdng off publishing what I know, so I'm hoping I can recruit the assistance of 10 Tenths to take this research forward. If anyone can add anything, identify any original owners or even tell me where a few more of the cars are today, I'd be most grateful.

Thanks

Allen

Allen, Doug Magnon And Tony Adamowicz are currently getting their Eagle put back together for the
F5000 Reunion Race at Infineon raceway at the end of the month. He called me recently about testing together and was planning to have it finished for the upcoming races. If you need his contact information let me know.

Thanks Nick. I've emailed Tony but he hasn't got back to me yet. The stories that have been published on this car said that it didn't race after Tony won the championship in it. I'm trying to find out more about that.
