And for '14 I think, DTM will switch to 2.0 turbo inline 4s.

Last I've heard was that they'll keep the V8s until 2016 at least. Definitely not for '14.

Yamano says that this is not a full retirement.
He decided to yield young driver the status of the 1st driver of SUBARU.
It is unknown whether he will participate in SGT next season.

Going to miss things like this next year...

The shark teeth from the diffuser edge are on the rear wing endplates, they introduced the teeth last year, but on the wing is new this year.

Eneos SC430 GT500 pole and Subaru BRZ GT300 pole.

Champion contenders Keihin HSV 2nd place, Zent SC430 4th. Going to be a great fight to the title with the Weider HSV and Petronas SC430 towards the back of the grid. The BRZ needs some luck to beat the Mugen CRZ in the title even if they win.

Enoes SC430 drivers Yuji Kunimoto & Kazuya Oshima win Super GT at Motegi GT500 class race, second Koudai Tsukakoshi & Toshihiro Kaneishi and third Kohei Hirate & Yuji Tachikawa.

Yuji Tachikawa/Kohei Hirate (Zent SC430) are GT500 champions! It's the 3rd GT500 title for Tachikawa, 1st for Hirate. Toyota/Lexus introduced the SC430 back in 2006 and won the GT500 championship. In its final year they won the championship again.

Katsuyuki Hiranaka & Bjorn Wirdheim win GT300 class at Motegi race, second Hideki Mutoh & Yuhki Nakayama and third Tetsuya Yamano & Kota Sasaki.

Hideki Mutoh/Yuhki Nakayama (Mugen CR-Z GT) are the GT300 champions! 1st title for a hybrid car, 1st for both drivers.

Was a good race. I feel like the end was a little sad for the Keihin team. It seemed like the Denso just fell in line rather than pass. That way a Lexus car secured the drivers title. As for the CR-Z, they were mega strong all year.

There are opinions that BoP of Blancpain endurance series should be refer from SGT teams.
Therefore, GTA might refer also to BoP of Blancpain endurance series.
But the final decision has not been made yet.

Formula challenge Japan is reorganized by Japanese Formula 4 (JRP).
So, as for junior formula, FIA-F4 and JAF-F4 overlap.

A 1:40.9 is faster than the Pole lap from the past race from the Eneos SC430 @1:41.367... Very good.

Certainly quick, at any rate. I'm more concerned about how the racing ends up faring than the outright pace. The new car is slower than the previous chassis in V8 Supercars, but I'd say the racing has been particularly good this year.

The cars aren't the only factor that influences the quality of racing in Super GT vs. DTM (tire competition, traffic, BoP etc) but I worry about the former becoming more like the latter.

So far the GTR is the faster car it would seem. But are they testing ultimate pace? It would be nice to see a lap chart to determine the times on a stint.
