A number of ex F1 drivers are to test the FE car with an interest in racing them. They include Buemi, Sato, Liuzzi, Di Grassi and Chandhok. Others on the list are Marco Andretti, Adrien Tambay and Ma Qing Hua.

I've been up to Donington today. The site prep work is going quite quickly - currently levelling and doing drainage, by the look of things.
Lots of talk among the assembled marshals about Formula E too (perhaps precipitated by the buildings going on our campsite!). Wide variety of opinions - some love the idea, some hate it, most are being carefully enthusiastic. But the noise aspect is the most polarising, as with potential fans. |

Formula E, the new electric racing series which launches in Beijing in September, will have 20 races on its calendar by 2019 according to a summary of the terms presented to the FIA.

"Formel-Woche" (www.formel-woche.de) revealed last Wendnesday that Euro International will also run in Formula E, it's not named for which team but perhaps with Venturi.

Jacques Villeneuve is being considered as one of the drivers for the Mahindra Formula E team and Sir Frank Williams addresses FIA Formula E teams.

Just in case: the Maldonado department government in Uruguay signed a deal with promoter Sportlink to host the Formula E race in the Punta del Este seaside roads.

Can't say I can get too excited about a track with right angled corners and chicanes for the sake of it. I hope the other tracks are better

http://tentenths.com/news/showentry.php?e=3979 i'd have liked to see channel 4 have a go given they're into the tree hugging hippy side of things but itv have a great recent history of broadcasting motorsport. very glad to see it's not going to be on sky

lol, it is supposed to be on Fox Sports in Canada!
 actually surprised Fox would pick it up while Sky wouldn't...i wonder if they got out bid for the UK market or perhaps they just werent interested. |
