Actually, I can't give it too many points. A 6 is probably still generous.
There was some tension (is Max going to win, will Raikkonen or Ricciardo finally win again?) but little to no action. There are very few possibilities to overtake and apart from position changes due to strategy or pitstops it was mostly "follow the leader". Apart from the possible excitement for a new 2016 winner or a possible new winner altogether, the on-track action was very unexciting. |

10 for Max, -10 for Hamilton/Rosberg incident, 6 for Vettel, 6 for Raikkonen and a couple off for Alonso and Hulkenberg.
So 10. |

7 - A strategic battle for the race win, even if passing on track did not look very likely.
Much better than the Spanish GP is usually. |

Would it have been nearly as exciting if the Mercs were out in front? I think not...

It was great to see a new winner and in this case Max Verstappen making history, as the youngest F1 driver to win a GP. There was some interesting strategic stuff going on but there wasn't that much track action in the race, apart from the Mercs coming together at the beginning and Ricciardo, attempting to get by Vettel towards the end.

I dont think it could have been Max's race to win,had not Mr Bling had a petulant go for the lead so soon after Nico had overtaken him. However staying ahead of a charging Kimi was just P F M!!!!!!!!!!!!The rest just happened with not much actual dicing,so a Six point vote!!

How can this be a 10.
4 cars finished close at the end but there was still very little pure racing action?! |

perhaps we got carried away but 5-10 years down the road (or longer) some races will still be remembered. sometimes for the action they produced and sometimes for the results they produce.
i feel this one will be used as a reference marker for some time to come so for me i voted 10 because this is a race i will remember. imo it was a special race....possibly like schumi at Spa all those years ago even though he didnt win (maybe thats a bad example lol). |

7 some close battling, proving you don't need overtaking to make it tense and a brilliant story in Max's first win

Call this Formula One racing. Here is what the race winner said:

As others have said - 10 for Max, otherwise a generous 7. Only fell asleep 2-3 times.

I reserve my 10's for last lap passes for the win.
9. My jaw is still hung open at the entire race. |

It's unusual to find lots of people scoring the race higher than me. Sometimes I feel I might be the only one here who actually likes F1. I gave it an 8, which is what I give a lot of races. It was entertaining, but I didn't wet myself. I was slightly surprised at the excitement of DC and others.

As Gert said: some tension, but mostly follow-the-leader. Worst race of the season so far. |

The absence of the Mercedes drivers was very noticeable, maybe F1 should just ban Mercedes if they really want to improve the show? Also happy that Verstappen won, may it be the first of many! |
