TRC Lydden 10th September
The annual festival of motorsport at Lydden Hill on September 10th is fast approaching. As usual it will be a very busy day. In the morning there will be races on the one mile circuit for Track and Race saloons, Mazda Max5s and the MG owners club. Please note that Claire Williams is dealing with entries up to Tuesday Sept.6th, after which she will be away. Don't leave it until the last minute, enter now.
In the afternoon the action moves to the 600 metres oval, where there will be races for Camso V8s, rallycross stock hatches, minicross, hot rods, RDC super rods, super saloons, ministox, baby grands. Entries for these are being dealt with by Ron Coventry at RDC Promotions. Should be a great days racing. |

Only five points seperate the first three in the T&R championship, after Snetterton. Bill Richards leads Richard Brent by just 1.5 points with Nick Williamson third a further 3.5 adrift.

OK, just over a week to go, and we now have well over 200 entries (almost 250 in fact). The T&R races will be split, classes A, B and I together, then C and D together. 13 in one lot 16 in the other, but still more entries coming in. The MGs have been put together (18 at present) and there are lots of Mazdas. On the oval front, 12 Camso V8s with a guest American driver, 36 junior Ministox (gosh a junior series with more than 12 cars), 24 hot rods, 19 super rods, 33 uh hum saloons?, 11 Lightning Rods from Belgium, 8 baby grands, 10 group A/stock hatch/minis. Some formulas are racing this weekend, so no doubt more will enter.

Good Luck everyone for tomorrow
Will be back out for Silverstone with compomotives on. Wing looks a bit secondhand, but there's only so many times you can straighten them out. Some new panels to go with a new engine for next year me thinks! |

Alan you missed another corker, especially the C and D races. Richard Brent pulled out of the first race as did Kwerr Robertson, both had electrical problems. They were back for the longer (only slightly, more later) races, both started at the back. Bill led for a while, then Peter Wilkinson took over. Richard stormed through to third, but that was as far as he got.
Yes, I won the other two, and had a win on the oval as well!! Ray Barrow got second, Nick broke a valve spring but struggled home third. Nasty crash at the start, Craig Inskip had something brake (carrying fluid) which ignited and he hit both Ray and Nick, the race was stopped. Oh, and the "Beer" man went well, good races with Andy Wickens, Les got third in class. Graham Bahr and Brenty boy got driver of the race awards, and Mr Richardson best prepared car. Full report on website tomorrow. |

yeah great day,
good to see andy wick back out again, the first race for me was the first one i've had in This car were i was able to race competitivly for the whole lap rather than just relying on straightline power, beating craig inskip, especially up the inside on the wrong line at paddock, a move which actually started at the top hairpin when craig tried to shut the door is something i wont forget in a hurry. i felt as if i'd actually won the race, looking at the beemer compaired to the VW even i'd of put money on the VW to win the dog fight. i'm not too sure Mr Inskips driving style is'nt better suited to BTCC or hot hatch though, thankfully even one of the quite hard "taps" i got did no more than get me a bit sideways, maybe he was in shock at having to race hard to try and beat my home brewed budget special. what should be clear to every one is that we race HARD but CLEAN, anyone that doesn't will NOT be welcome. |

Rod you should do a south eastern lot go to Warneton trip - I fancy a go - and I'd like to race you in equal machinery (so I can still be beaten by miles)
