Testing today at Snett - a pair of Civic Tourers, a pair of Eurotech Civics and a pair of United Autosports Toyotas. Mixed day with weather !!! The Bentley GT3 was also their livening things up

I'd argue that they'll get plenty of coverage this year on a unique car.

That Merc reminds me of the Astra from the mid 2000's a little bit. Was fearing what this livery would look like, but it's not too bad. The AMD Focus is certainly the worst, so far........

Great looking car.

Looks stunning from the front but not so keen on the back.

I like the AMD focus, it looks great in red (better than in blue). But the yellow wheels look awful, hopefully they will change.

I like the base colour, I just hate the way it looks like they have let a child loose with a load of stickers on it.

Austin had already signed a deal with another sponsor that meant he could no longer accommodate what Wix wanted. It was never a case of Wix simply walking away or being pouched by another team.

I really hope some of the immature reaction to Wix "defecting" from RAR doesn't deter any future sponsorship deals, from Wix or any other potential sponsors. Some of the social network reaction to a livery unveil tonight is embarrassing.

I maybe wrong but I think I read somewhere that Wix wanted both Audis.

The Mercedes looks cracking and will look better still as a lowered racer!

Exactly. So all this rubbish you read about Wix "abandoning" Rob Austin is exactly that, rubbish, and really needs to stop. As for this sympathy Austin is always trying to get from his fans, well, maybe he should pursue a career in acting instead of motor racing, as he seems to have the talent for it!

It's business, plain and simple. Hilarious what some fans do to make themselves look like complete plonkers.

Instead of criticising Wix, we should be giving them credit for sticking in the sport, when they could have walked out completely.

It was in the team's press release.

"While we greatly appreciate its support and our partnership in 2013, unfortunately its requirements for 2014 conflicted with arrangements already in place with existing sponsors. "

As I believe I said at the time, RAR are very good at putting a positive spin on any news. It's unusual to bother to announce the loss of a sponsor but they even timed the release to be just a few hours prior to the Cicely/Wix announcement and somehow came out of this looking like a jilted bride whose husband to be had just run of with the bridesmaid.

To be fair FWD is the way to go in a series with as much close quarters racing as the BTCC. I'm sure that was the point he was trying to make, why would he want to get in to slanging matches on social networks?

And what ever happened to freedom of speech? Plus it was the team account, not the driver's personal one.

It really is making something out of nothing.

Nothing wrong with that. Sponsors like it, means more attention for them and more money coming into the championship. I think we just associate negativity with it due to the exploits of Chris James in recent years.

Also, its just RAR and Honda doing PR at the moment, not many other teams have the resources to do it until after Media Day.
