the Ferrari, Macca and Lambo are not as proven in the enduros, haven't had the development work put into them for the demands of the Nurburgring and, irritatingly, seem to get discriminated against in the BoP; something more apparent in GT Masters, when Farnbacher swapped last year. Nice to see them back here with a Porsche though.

Doesn't take too many minutes of watching this stream with RLM comms to get in the mood for the race. I'm in a different position to most where I'm working Sunday but off on Monday.

Will try and see as much of the start as I can.

Allan is racing with Aston Martin this weekend, Andreas is a Mercedes regular (FIA GT, ADAC GT, etc.)

One quick lap doesn't mean quick laps over 24 hours.

But WRT is an excellent team so no doubt they are capable of running top 10 during the race.

Good question, been thinking about that myself, is there some official reason?

Doubt it had much to do with DTM at Brands, should be on different weekends altogether.

Monday is a holiday in Germany... they usually try to build their race week around a holiday as it saves the amateur teams and pit crews a day they'd otherwise have to take off at work. They usually use a Thursday holiday (Ascension day, or Corpus Christi day), but this year they went for Pentecost monday for some reason.
