French classic F3
I am thinking about doing the French classic F3 championship next year and possibly competing in the last round this year to get a feel for it.
Has anyone competed in this championship or know anything about it, beyond what is on the website. Any info, advice, pointers or indications as to likely/realistic budgets gladly received. Thanks |

Have a look at the website for the british classic F3 series, www.classicf3.co.uk
That has a link the the site for the french series and contact details etc. The british series are going to Spa in May to take part in the french championship round there. A number of cars came over from France for the classic F3 round at Brands Hatch last season and a larger group are expected over this season. The British classic F3 series is very good and has a very attractive calender of events, including a round supporting the British F3 championship at Brands Hatch. Just wondered why you are chosing to race in the French series? Last edited by El_Gibleto; 10 Mar 2004 at 23:31. |

Thanks for the reply El Gibleto - the main reasons for French F3 is that the car is a 1982 Dallara and not eligible for the British series and secondly racing in France, especially in the South sounds like a lot of fun. The series races at Pau most years which is a race that I have always wanted to do.
Do you race in the British series ? If so any advice gladly received. |

Good Luck with racing in france, I hope you have a good time.
I don't race in the classic F3 series, but I do know several of the people involved and have been impressed by the atmosphere and the quality of racing. Is your Dallara one of their first F3 cars? I didn't realise they were involved in F3 so long ago. |
