cos should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Following Klien's confirmation at HondaF1, Motorsport News reports Paffett could find his way back to the DTM for 2007.

Well, I wonder if Terting is good enough for DTM? WTCC, yes, at times (but defenantly not a top runner), but DTM?

If I remember well his DTM season was not very good but at that time he was very young and unexperienced. I would not be surprised to see him in DTM because he is a protege of the Abt brothers. The level of DTM is not higher than WTCC.

He has already driven a WRC-rally a few years back. It was a one-off though. I think he crashed his Peugeot 206 in the RAC-rally

And he's doing the NZL rally this weekend. That's why I wrote line up at the grid . Anyhow, it's hardly full-time comittments. But when his MotoGP career is over I reckon that he could go to car racing. I have no real knowledge about the news and rumors in MotoGP, but I can't imagine him retiering after finishing second this year?

Equipe Verschuur is trying to setup an all Dutch DTM team which wants to enter 2005 Audi A4's next season. Equipe Verschuur, owned by former Renault cup driver Frans Verschuur, entered this year 35 cars in 6 different classes (for example German & Dutch Clio Cup (his son won both championships) and Eurocup Mégane Trophy (Verschuur driver Jaap van Lagen won this championship). Possible drivers are Jaap van Lagen and Jeroen Bleekemolen. First priority is to find the needed budget (2 to 2,5 million Euro).

I read on a other forum (source also MSA) Toyota has tested an Opel (!) chassis in Japan. The car was tested by Toyota factory drivers. People from Lexus have visited the last DTM race. MSA has asked Lotterer and Dumbreck (Both drive a Lexus in SuperGT) for a reaction but they knew nothing about this test. According MSA this DTM project is for 2008.

Philips Germany new sponsor of Audi:

One Audi will have the Philips livery. It's not decided if it will be a 2006 or 2007 car. Also the driver is still unknown.

The long awaited Lexus IS250 based DTM car, a la HKS? Or perhaps HKS was used as a front/cover by Toyota to test public reaction?

It's good to see a new sponsor step up to sponsor a car.
How about a Sony PS3 or Wega sponsorship?

Timo Scheider is the driver tipped. Frans Verschuur's team is also looking to get some 2-year old Audis with two Dutch drivers.

According www.autosport.nl Mercedes will test with four cars in Portugal this week. Bernd Schneider and Jamie Green will test new parts. Also Susie Stoddart, Mathias Lauda and Daniel La Rosa will do testing.

Besides these rugular DTM drivers some young talents will get the chance to test a Mercedes DTM car: Paul di Resta, Esteban Guerriri, Norbert Siedler, Yelmer Buurman and Casper Elgaard.

Buurman is already a shoe-in for a DTM drive in 2007 if Autosport magazine is right.

Italiaracing.net says that Kaffer and Stippler could lose their seats in Audi for 2007. Italiaracing mentions Autosport like source.

If Müller is on his way in I suppose it would make sense.

Can't read Dutch, but I get the idea. Makes some sense, especially for Jacques and family. I could see him doing that and probably liking it. He always was a better driver than Frentzen anyway

JV AND Bruno. Now, if they could just scrounge-up another manufacturer.....

That would bring the DTM a lot more attention in Canada if JV raced in it. Hopefully, that could mean a future race in Canada, problaby Montreal GP or Mosport?
