And contracts have meant what since when?

Didn't Ellery still have a contract?
Didn't Wilson still have a contract last year?
Didn't Andrew Jones have a contract for all of this year? Didn't Ritter? Didn't Alex Davison?, and for that matter Will?

Wasn't it mentioned in AA or MN that talks about a $$$ settlement between Seton and DJR weren't going as Seton had hoped?

Considering Bright was all set on driving his own car before the FPR thing came along, who knows what clauses are in there, especially regarding driving for his own team?

All contacts have an 'out' clause. They are generally performance based I would assume!

Now I may be wrong here but I thought Mr Brights deal with FPR resulted/helped in a shedload of chassis/engines and parts arriving in the shed that carried Mr Brights name. One would hardly think that 12 months of driving would see this debt repaid.

And perhaps the problem at FPR / Britek is that these parts are not allowed to be passed between or handed down in the current manner....

And perhaps this means Britek are now on their own so the testing ban can be lifted....

And perhaps Mr Bright is now wanting to steer his own ship as it needs a big name driver to run on its own...

And perhaps....

And perhaps....

Did you notice the lack of a powder room???

The discussion around Jason Bright is still valid... he is creating issues for his own team, and for all the excitement AA tried to wiggle out of Mr Jewell in suggesting that the team "that is not litigious by nature" (which is kinda funny for an operating entity who only just blew out the candle on its first birthday cake...) would take on the TEGA machine! YEHHH!!!

Onlooker you will have me in the Poo with the man that told me, (in confidence) on Saturday night that A much travelled engine builder is fleeing these shores for a much larger gig.

One that will see him as R & D head of a very large engine shop, with lots of units to play with, lots of people & lots of budget, and no Spunky not F1.

P.S...... Look for an " exclusive scoop " in AA this Wednesday.......
Oh & Uncle John, it wasn't me that flew the coop it was Onlooker..........

P.P.S. Anybody heard the story that Hollinger Engineering are currently making gears for Williams F1......
Got a e-mail to enquiries@hollinger.com.au a few months back, and the wheels are well & truly in motion.

Apparantly not direct link via ANY of the Aussies, just wanted a supplier to produce cogs, and not tell any of the opposition, unlike the previous supplier who supplied 3/4 of the F1 paddock.

What a productive weekend, Speedway on Saturday night & a BBQ on Sunday, I need to get a commision, GTR any openings in your fine organisation??????????

P.P.S.S. I love reading these replys when those who truly don't have a clue about the 'news' pretend to know the ins & outs, and just make it up as they go along.

Dee EEE Eye for posterity.

Engine builders dont seem to find home for very long these days do they?

A gig at Dale Earnhardt Inc sounds cool (depending on the level I suppose... RB was Director, Dynos or somesuch at Hendricks...) and I am sure would pay well enough at the right authority level

Mr Benson enjoyed HRT, did his own thing for a while (RED), off to the UK from memory, then the US for Hendricks, back to BJR then off to FPR then away again to DEI...

Lots of travel there in 15 or so years....

I wonder how FPR feels at having bought Mr Benson out of his deal at BJR, only for him to disappear a year or so after that appointment?

Whatever happened to Williams' sponsorship deal with Komatsu, whe the enormous Japanese giant used to cut gears for them

I still dont know what the big deal is about gear cutting... in F1 with budgets made of unobtanium, I would have thought keeping that proprietary information and technology in house might be worth the $15m or so to build a machine shop equipped with the right tools...

Hollinger have the contract for Carerra Cup worldwide (probably not new news) and have bought their own heat treatment furnace and a few other post processing tools.
